How do people post a pic of their text messages?

press the home button and the button on the top of the phone at the same time (the button that puts the phone to sleep) and it will take a screen shot of whats on your screen

Do you see the small camera icon on your text message area? Tap that and you can then choose between take a photo or choose existing. If you choose existing it will take you to camera roll. Choose from those in the camera roll. That should do it.
