Cliff Koufax Lee was outstanding last night. No one was going to beat him. Sabathia had an "off" night and gave 2 pitches down Broadway to Utley and that was all the Phils needed. Burnett throws tonite and who knows which Burnett will show up....I do know that Martinez will not pitch a complete game. I'm also thinking that he may not get the calls he wants from the ump tonite considering Nelson gives a lot of walks. Game 3 will have Pettite and Hamels and I'll take Pettite....I'll take Sabathia to bounce back in game 4 too and if Lee goes I'm thinking the Yankees will figure him out...SOOOO.....what I did was bet the Yankees to win the Series at even money (SIA)...I think everyone is overreacting to one game and I think their is plenty more baseball to go...these are 2 competitive teams that have enough experience to fight to the finish....With Mariano Rivera I think the Yanks have the edge....I'll take them at even money now...

unless Mariano became a starter, the philly bats may make him a non factor, he can't pitch if yankees are playing from behind :shrug:
So are you saying the Yankee bats will be silent the rest of the way? I disagree. The Phils have only one Cliff Lee and no Mariano Rivera. It's the way I see it so let's see what happens
not even close... Lee is the phillies best pitcher by far and i think the yanks tee off on the rest of there bullpen imo...
Please clarify this for me...Who on this Yankees staff besides Jeter, Posada and Rivera have post season experience besides I think Burnett. The Phillies are coming off a WS WIN. I think you WANT to believe in what your saying but in reality it is the furthest from the truth. Yankees are going to get crushed.
I forgot Pettite but he is one pitcher. You need to be more concerned with the Yankee bats than Pettite.
If the Phillies win game 2 tonight where does that leave Yankee bettors ? good luck

First of all you are not my friend...you do too many chest thumping, attention seeking threads and out and out boasting to be my friend....we are here to exchange opinions to try and win...you always seem to turn things into some macho thing as to who is better etc... I was confident as I am today when I placed my Philly to sweep. After seeing NYY and their lack of hitting again, a little more confident. I see balls a flying tonight. I do believe that Philly will outhit the BIG BAD EMPIRE. Therefore, Philly and over.
