Today's results

Hammy, I need to see you online to post picks like we used to. Apparently, the VIEWERS want to read anything we post, so I post how Ive BEEN doing each day. Plus some things like "how I bettem" which might give somebody some ideas.

Played 4 races today, no... make that 5 cause I played the last race which I didn't intend to and my results didn't turn out too good. Most bets were small today, didn't see anything that really sparked some confidence.

That Cassidy hoss? It sure seemed like he was running well in the first half of the race, all alone in 4th place.

BIG PROBLEM - the horse running third had Cassidy by about 20 lengths down the backstretch..... UT OH! Turned out he had nothing for the stretch drive anyways.

ANYtime you see a finish like this one at Phlly, BOTH favorites running 1st and 2nd, rest assured I got dispatched IF I PLAYED THE RACE. BUT, how bout the exacta return for this race? No, I didn't have it... but how bout 40 cents short of $30.

Ya just gotta luv this wace twack.

Cashed a ticket in two of the earlier races but the total winnings from BOTH of those races amounted to something like 10 bucks. I played too many zactas in those two races. :(

Good news? Well, two of my favorite Philly RUNNERS (NOT dirt bags) were in the 8th... Smarty Slewey and At First Speight. You may remember me posting those two from time to time. Played them both, but small plays cause they were in a little deep in the 8th and Speight had post 11 vs. some tough customers.

It was some kind of performance from Speight. Very exciting race and it bailed me out quite well for the day.

I don't know how this will come out, but here goes....

COMPLETED: 5cb27-80bd0 PRX #8 $4 Win 7,11 none $ 8.00 $ 92.00 + $ 84.00

What a stretch run from that honest race horse. Paid $46 to Win.

OH, I tried my new Zuppafecta system again for real in the 6th today. The deal is that you box 5 hosses for 10 STINKIN cents for each combo. Today, the 10 STINKIN cents woulda got ya over a GRAND.
Did I hit it? ... ah.. no :(
BTW, the cost of making those bets is only $12.

Today was the third time I played it for real and I did hit one of those times. I WON'T BE POSTING THEM OR WRITING THE RESULTS i'VE HAD WITH THEM... doesn't take many Peepers to play along and KILL the payoff on those things.

Hope everybody is doing good with THEIR picks, whatever sport you play.

Wrap it up

Wrap it up

I think this thread has about had it; getting old.

LAST POST (I HOPE) for this one.

You know there's always a good story at the "ski's" and this is the most recent...

Many serious horse players use Watch Lists. Many sites offer a free service whereby you can put your Watch List horse online at their place and they will send you an email, in advance, should one of your horses will be running. They'll notify you with the horse's name, the track and date it will be running in and usually the program page of the race.

I haven't updated my list in quite some time. I stopped using the onliner and just made my own list cause it's easier for me. I must have entered about 20 horses in the past 2 years to the onliner and would get the email that notifies me and they also send you (ME) the results of the race.

I only followed up the notice and actually played my watch list horse maybe 10 times over the past couple of years. All in all - I'd say i would have been a loser if I played them all.

Well, maybe not?? A few days ago I got the results of the last notification they sent me. OF COURSE I don't bother following up on it. The horse was TrIbute and I did remember why I put that one my list not that long ago. I liked that one a lot but didn't follow it up cause it was running at Penn National and I've seen enough also rans with these things.

Here's what was the results page that they sent me...
