May be you can lower it by staying fit, and doing exercise daily, and having a good routine.

I exercise regularly, but my big vice is drinking beer. I can drink the beer with ease, but don't like chocolates and candies which is good because my wife is diabetic. I'm not overweight but I do carry a tiny bit extra in the mid section, never use too but I guess it comes with age. Actually, my BMI is above average-excellent my doctor tells me. I still run 5-10 miles a day and have begun to track my progress with the fitbit (which I recommend highly). This Summer I'm definitely going to get into juicing a lot more and trying to eat much healthier. I have heard Gluten is a big offender, you should stick to fruits and vegetables in the corner aisles when grocery shopping. Believe it or not, it's like 70% diet - you can go to the gym regularly and still be out of shape. Also, lifting weights is better than cardio. They say you should only do 30 min cardio and at least an hour or so of weights. Anyway, having said that it's nearly impossible to not have any gluten in your diet, you have to work really hard at it.

I'm as close to 100% gluten free as I can get. I eat mainly middle eastern foods, lots of salads and vegetables and lean meats. It is a challenge I admit. But I have lost 12 lbs so far and have no cravings.

You sound like you're on the right path Jon.

20 days now.........no gluten of any kind. Started a Liver green tea cleanse Sunday. Feeling amazing, sleep better, lost weight and inches. Tweaked my diet to mainly a vegetarian type, except for very little lamb and chicken, no beef. Only booze is Tito's made from corn vodka.

I've been having some minor skin issues the past few months. So I had my blood tested for gluten sensitivity and a few other allergens. The blood report came back positive for gluten. Guess I'm gluten free for now.
