It's time for Peterson to play.

Would I lose my job? Probably. I'd lose all of my customers for sure if they found out what I did.

That said, I'm not the face of a multi billion dollar franchise.

How could anyone clap their hands and cheer and scream when this guy scores a touchdown?

He shouldn't be in the NFL this year and maybe ever.

It seems like Nike agrees. They just dropped him.

seems the steelers fans dont have a problem cheering for a guy who was accused twice of rape. but he paid off the girls so it must be ok hell the nfl even reduced his suspension.
also tell me how their rb bell, gets a dui and caught red handed in possession of alot of pot and admits to being stoned when pulled over. yet he hasnt even been suspened .

if it wasnt for rice this isnt even an issue

My point exactly!

No one has the "right" to play in the NFL.

Yes but suspending players for misdemeanors isn't a good precident either

That's why you can't look to the judicial system for conduct issues.

Nike dropped the guy today. Other sponsors will do the same and force him out if the Vikings try to activate him.

Didnt he test positive for weed during this process as well? He admitted to taking it anyway.

how much you think is gonna cost him? along with the others that will drop him?

I have been one of the biggest calling him a POS and he should have gotten child abuse charges ... I also think that he should not be paid a cent since he was convicted of a charge while he was suspended and he shouldnt be paid until he serves out those hours under supervision to make sure they were accounted

BUT a court made a ruling whether you agree or not ... he does not deserve to lose his right to work ... its up to a NFL team to make that decision to bring him and the circus involved to their team

I am one of the biggest animal activist ... but I didnt think Vick deserved to lose his right to work ... he served his sentence and cost him over $100 million ... I still hope he rots in hell but that is besides the point of being able to work

NFL owners are the ones that should decide if he gets a job ... it is their company and they decide if to bring on the results and the worth of bringing him on a team ... but he should have that right to work if an owner wants to pay him

I agree with much of this. I wonder how many adult especially in the south use this punishment. My buddy from Texas wasn't at all upset about Peterson. He said "whoopins" are customary. Doesn't know any different as his momma used the belt on a regular basis.

And inflicted an open wound on his genitals? I doubt it. Peterson seems to realize that what he did is wrong. Having thought about it a little bit, I think it would be fair to fine Peterson what he earns for, say 4 games and, since he has already sat out more than that, let him begin playing again as soon as he is ready and the Vikings are willing to put him back on the roster. I think that is fair.

I don't think anyone has a "right" to be in the NFL. A right to work somewhere...maybe. Maybe with abused children so he could learn a thing or two.

I think what he did is wrong. If I walked up to BP on the street, and "whooped" him in the legs and scrotum until he bled I'd probably still be in jail. But for some reason this is OK for an adult to do to a child? Is it OK if I do it to someone else's child?

And the question remains about the drug test he took recently. I remember that he admitted to an official (not sure who) that he had smoked weed shortly before the test sample was taken.

Why is no one talking about that?

Peterson has a history of poor choices. I don't think he belongs in the NFL this year and maybe never.

Accusations are one thing.... video and pictures are another thing. I'm referring to big Ben, if we conformed to your ideals, then we should suspend anyone who is accused?? This would be a good way to get your rivals top player out of the game, just accuse him of a crime.. very flawed theory!

Because weed isn't a big deal anymore, that's why!
The minority in this country that is anti-weed, don't watch football anyway. They are at church on Sundays!:mj07:

Either he tested positive or he didn't. There are still rules against weed.

Where are you on Sunday mornings?

Parents who hit their children with sticks should be incarcerated and not allowed to return to their place of business with impunity.

There goes the state of Texas.

I couldn't imagine being raised by parents who discipline this way. Do wooden spoons count? My mom hit my knuckles when I was about 10 for punching my sister. She was 15 at the time and really torturing me

I'm all for second chances when warranted, but beating kids with a stick you can't overcome. It wasn't just a slap on the hand either it was video proof of lacerations to all parts of their bodies. He had 7+ kids with different mothers one of which is diseased already whom he never seen. Top that with illegal drug accusations. He may be one of the most talented RB's of all time, but he is also a deadbeat and flat out loser. He obviously believes he's invincible where morality, rules, and laws don't apply to him. I guess with this latest plea bargain he may be right.

Let's say they reinstate him and he does the same thing again. Then what?

I was joking.

Packers deserved to be ripped mainly Ted Thompson for gradually weakening a team that could have been a Dynasty type team.

You are an idiot, flat out.
G.b is good with a chance to win every year.

Peterson is a child beater and he shouldnt play.
The nfl isnt like working in a factory, its a privilege
And when you beat your children your privilege of making
10+ million per year should be stripped from you.
B.p your franchise is a joke plain and simple.
Hookers on boats with alleged rape, and now a kid beater.
You should be proud.
