Stratosphere Introduces New Ride

-- Stratosphere officials plan to build what they call the "world's most extreme thrill ride". The Las Vegas resort is teaming up with Utah-based "Interactive Rides of Logan" to create "Project X Sky." It will send riders over the edge of the Stratosphere Tower's observation deck, about 900 feet above the Las Vegas Strip. The ride features an open, escape-proof floorless vehicle that holds eight passengers, going up to 30 miles an hour. It would be the world's third-highest thrill ride, right after the Stratosphere's own "Big Shot" ride and "High Roller" roller coaster. No cost has been announced for "Project X Sky," which is scheduled to be ready by this fall.

lol- senor, give me a break. I've been on the other two rides there and i'll admit the big shot is a bit unnerving, but the roller coaster is nothing special. This new one does sound pretty cool though. I guarantee that Jack wouldn't ever come within 1000 yards of this new one. He's a chicken when it comes to this stuff.

wonder what 6 flags in atlanta has, cause i'll be there next week for sure, sweat towell and all.

Ever been on the Sling Shot ??


Where they harness 1,2 or 3 people in Hoist you very very high into the air & one of the 3 brave souls must reach around & pull the rip cord. :scared

Senor, I don't know anything about that sling shot, but I don't think I would go for that one..

You haven't worn shorts since 1974, but i'll take your word for it. If the Atlanta six flags is anything like the others, i'm sure you'll have a lot of fun. The six flags parks are all fantastic, although nothing compares to Cedar Point. I'm sure somebody like dawgball has been to that one in atlanta, and i'm sure it's a lot of fun. (at least for people that actually go on the rides).

The heat can be stifling, but i'm sure that while everybody else is standing in the hot ass lines, you'll be under the umbrella at a table at some little food stand that serves beer. 'yeah, hey, why don't all you guys get in that 45 minute line in the 90 degree heat. I'll stay here and hold down the fort'.

Senor, LMFAO. The wife wanted to put one of those in the bedroom, but I was afraid of having a heart attack!!!

I'm headed to vegas in Aug for the first time and the first thing I'm doing is going on those 2 rides. Is there any other cool rides in Vegas. Also any suggusetions on comps. Small to mid level player.
