I actually like the top one for a porch I am going to do except the border will be in a "railroad tie" color and texture.
You aren't going to do it in fishing dock or pier texture?

Thank you very much. If I were to be a hundred percent honest, I was tickled to death that it turned out as well as it did, (the darker living room one). That is the first one I did in that particular color, style, stain pattern. I think it is a great look personally.
