Jack I'm sure you could understand why this thread should be locked. This man has been bitching about this Cascade thing on atleast 3 forums I know of including this one. There was even an agreement to just send the money to charity & a check was just posted showing proof of it being sent to charity I believe & he is still harping on this. He said the case was closed yet comes right back here to whine about it. I'm sure you as well as many others would agree he purposely past posted & was looking to take a shot but it bit him in the ass. How can you not know when your hometown team tips off?

If you posted it 15 minutes after the start of the game knowing the score you are no better than a cheat and a liar, they should take your money and close you account.

He claimed he thought it went off at 8 PM. I think the game might have been still up my accident but still listed with the original start time & he just wanted to take a shot.

People from multiple forums ranging from consumers to people affiliated or directly work with sportsbooks agreed against him for the most part but he still whines.

ok, he probably took a shot at the book but.....

if a book has a written rule posted on their site that states they will not accept a bet after the posted starting time, his bet should be voided whether he took a shot or not.

would they have paid him had the bet won? i doubt it. so why should they take his money since the bet lost? because jim took a shot? i think they took a shot as well because....

if beantown took a shot by betting the game after it started (and was winning), the book had his money no matter what the outcome. if it wins, they don't pay because the bet was after post. if it loses, they take his money because he took a shot (blaming the whole matter on jim).

i say bullshit.

if the bet had won and they cancelled the bet, jim wouldn't have any grounds to stand on because he knew he bet the game well after it started (and they have the rule posted on their site).

the only way to handle this problem is to go by their written rule, period.

Well, I do have to side with bean-ie here,I know that through the year's I've bet alot of horse's right at post time. ( It's easy nowaday's in the computer age to keep up with all that stuff). Anyway, I've made many a bet ,that the bookmaker put the bet in,with a time attached to it,and if it was made before post,it stood, at or after post, it didn't......I know sport's betting isa little different, but, I've been at the window before at a sportsbook and got shut out right at kick-off.So I think ANY bet made after a start time, win or lose, should be voided.

Lenny always said if he takes the bet he will honor the bet even if it is his fault, so he did just that. BTJ is just mad because he took a shot & it lost so he wants it graded no action. Get real
