Wow! Down 5-0 in the 1st and come back with 7 in the top of the 2nd :scared
I went to bed in the 8th last night when the O's were leading 5-4.
How did Tillman look tonight? Was his velocity still high?
Average speed on four seam was 91.56 max 94.
Plus he hit 94 in the fifth when he was into low 90 pitch count.
Settling in after that rough first inning may have been the most impressive thing he has done this year. Tillman of old would have imploded after that. Peterson has done an amazing job of changing his delivery.
Thanks.
I think i'm dropping him, but the only reason I haven't is that his velocity has been pretty good this year.
It is great that he hung in there but that is two really bad performances in the opening inning in a few weeks.
Tillman had been sent home early on Monday with flu-like symptoms and was on antibiotics. On Tuesday, he felt lethargic and weak, and lost velocity and command on his fastball early. When Adair spoke with Tillman during the first, he and Wieters encouraged Tillman to shift to favor his off-speed pitches and his cutter.
Yeah he should have gotten out of the first in his last horrible start if someone could play some defense behind him.
This was from an article this morning about last nights start.
Tonight be importantopcorn2
I told you last year they'd be good..................:0003
Not to burst your bubble but they have been outscored by 60. That is the 3rd worst in the AL and a stronger indicator than W/L. They have Bundy and Machado coming soon though.
You O's fans should just be happy they didn't trade anyone for the stretch drive.
Who said anything about being a O's fan...............I'm just stirring the pot.....:0008
