And please let me remind you,,my niece is a lesbian,,I treat her with respect and love her as much as i did yesterday,,I am just asking thought provoking questions,,I know there are plenty of babies avaiable for adoption to be loved, and that is awesome,,BUT when I ask a question I am an idiot,,

Have you shared your belief that she is going to burn in hell due to her actions? Just curious.

Nothing ruins family unity worse than Loaning Money or wishing Eternal Damnation upon a loved one.

I was raised in a Christian family who believes in God and Jesus.I believe that today God is my personal savior, and when I die I am going to heaven,I know some or maybe all of you will dispute that, and that is your beliefs,,I am not going to try and chnge you,as you will not change mine,,My niece recently 'came out',,does not mean I love her any less or treat her any differently,SHE IS A HUMAN,,It is my belief that according to the bible she will burn in hell,,she does not believe that,,IT IS NOT UP TO ME TO DECIDE HER ETERNAL LIFE,,whether it be in Heaven or in a box 6 feet under,,,,Now,,here are my thoughts,,if every one of us was homosexual, were would our children come from? People arent going to change my beliefs, and I am not going to change thiers,so lets just accept people for what they are and not hate them because they think different than me,,,This has been a great discussion topic,,,close minded and open minded people alike,,,:toast:

You do realize your niece laughs at you all day long?

your marriage failed because you are a terrible fucking person. your opinion on who can marry is laughable because you are a failed product of "traditional" marriage.

also, some people dont want kids. does that mean they cant get married? is marriage reserved just for those who want kids?

how about straight people who cant reproduce? should their marriage be nullified?

you are such a fat stupid fuck.

I've been lurking on this site for years and I have always enjoyed reading everyone's posts. I know better than to use one of my very first posts to discuss a hot button topic like this but I can't help it.

I am from a very conservative part of Texas. I know, that's like saying I'm from a cold part of Antarctica. For the first 21 years of my life, most of my views were like that of Hedge's, exact same of gay topics. As I began dating my wife, she informed me that her dad is gay. Being the narrow minded country bumpkin I was, it was a strange thing to hear and I met it with some resistance. Time progressed and through spending time with my father-in-law and his partner, I learned they are not "flaming fags, deviants, or anything else" a good southern boy would paint them out to be. My wife and I have been married ten years now. I care about them very much now and I look back at how I was with much regret. I don't know if there is a point to this story, but I think on the gay issue most people will just root themselves deeper in what they already believe, unless their life is directly affected by a gay person.

Also, for those that believe being gay is a choice....nobody in their right mind would choose to be gay in the Texas panhandle.

It took 17 posts, but I think you finally convinced me that you are an alright guy.

Jas4bama,
I don't think you are an idiot for asking questions or having an opinion, that is a little harsh in my opinion, but I don't speak for others on here.

What I don't agree with is that your argument is thin at best. This is not a parochial, theological, or biological decision. It is a Civil Rights question and nothing more. I don't agree with my tax rate and I am sure I can find a number of biblical references that would support my dissension of that rate if I were to raise public issue with it. The argument is thin at best and tangent to the question in the first place.
There is no current prerequisite of fertility to get married publicly or parochially. In the absence of that requirement, your argument is not germane to the issue. Nobody is going to rewrite the Bible and there will be no task force going door to door popping straight people in the can either. What is at issue in not a requirement of public and societal acceptance of a homosexual lifestyle, but a FEDERAL ADMINISTRATIVE RECOGNITION of same sex civil unions for the purpose of benefits. That's it.
Biologically, the argument is even more far-fetched. You do realize, I hope, that there are over 1500 species in the animal kingdom that attempt or practice homosexual activity. That's right. Given the chance Flipper would facefuck his best bud and they can't have babies either.
My point is that your disapproval of same sex marriage is fine by me, I don't care one way or another what you think and neither do any homosexuals, I am sure. No one is asking you to approve it, only tolerate it. Tolerate it because people are different, tolerate it because they are human beings and citizens of the same nation that tolerates a Mosque within sight of the World Trade Center. I think that the disapproving minority may feel that the government is somehow shoving this down their throats and maybe that is why most of them parrot the same tired old analogies, arguments and assumptions. Conservatives love to obfuscate the argument with conjecture and propaganda.

Scott,
The answer to your question is yes. The four of them can interbreed and have a kid per family. The reason they don't is because the two homos don't want you to feel bad for getting more pussy than you.
Dumb statement=Dumb reply

Hope that helps,
FDC

Just trying to keep the thread minimal by not quoting. It's not like we need to get this puppy to page 2 or anything so it can be sent to the dumpster. :toast:

Crap - I failed by quoting you. I can't do anything right, time to go find a corner to sit in for awhile.
