Neverteaseit, I am 100% against what we are doing in Iraq. I have been since before the first bomb fell. That being said I have enjoyed your posts and wish you all the best there. I will be thinking about you. Stay safe.

If you really beleive that BS that the Dems are feeding you about this being a busted joke on bush's handling of the war--then someone is pulling your strings

take a step back and see what you are really saying. Kerry cant even muster up an apology and instead tries to blame bush for his rediculious comment?

i know how much they love "bush bashing", but theyre taking this a little too far.

and youve got the wrong idea about Kosar--hes not some dumb ass right winger (as im sure you would classify me as well)- he shoots down the middle and uses reason to justify his thought, somehting you should look into in my humble opinion.

i never said Kosar was a rightwinger. He is gullible and naive just like you are to think this quote was intended for the troops. the republicans are masters at this because they know this country is down right stupid and falls for this type of crap.

Other than 'Manson' and 'I Love Wide Receivers', you are the single dumbest poster that has ever graced the politcial forum.

I gotcha. Everytime you challange me i make you look silly. You again are naive and simpleminded. Go listen to Kerry explain what he meant on Imus and see if your gullible mind can decifer it.
At this time of they year he is gonna come out and trashed the troops is only something a naive person would fall for.

His comment can be taken several ways. just depends on who's listening. but once again it is a typical democrat sticking his foot in the parties mouth when all they have to do is shut up and roll come elections. Instead lets give the Repubs some ammo. But as we have seen in the past they will blow it again when it comes time.

By the way fellas I am outta here again. Heading back to the big desert in the arab nation of Iraq. I head out saturday and should be tasting sand by Nov 14th. Going to help the military as a civilian this time. My phone has rang off the hook since I got back home and they kept raising the stakes. So I am gonna go and see whats up again. In all honesty I miss the place. Seems strange I would say something like that but none will undertsand unless you have been there. Plus if I can help save some lives then it will all be worth it. So goin for a year this time then probably gonna keep goin back as often as I can, then retire. Shootn for 45 and done workin forever lol. Only time will tell. Will keep in touch via the web overseas. Thanks for all the support last time it meant alot. Cya all.

Good luck tease and be safe. One thing i always respected from you is your ability to listen to the other side.

I am also curious about going back there. This is the kind of thing that can alter my perception of things, wondering why a person would willingly go back there. There are a couple of hints in your post, like they are making it too hard to say no...I'd imagine that means it will be lucrative for you in some way...and you speak of saving lives which can be a very powerful motivator for many. I'm not sure if you are at liberty to discuss any of that, but I sure would be interested to hear about it.

A sincere wish of safety and health to you in your endeavors over there. Godspeed.

You know why they go back? i have had this talk with some and it blows you away. They tell me its the adrenaline and for the other guys who are fighting over there. Being with them.. That is why they call them hero's. i keep trying to talk my buddy out of going back but that is what he says.

Gardenweasel the spytheweb thinks im a tool or ignorant mmmmmmmmm maybe kerry is right I should have stayed in college. Well crap actually i do have a college education and I graduated with honors. I guess that rules out college then. And I had a great job that paid very good. And I am far from brainwashed. No one forced me to go again or held a gun to my head. I have been wanting to go back ever since I got back in the states.

Like a buddy of mine said everytime I called home and I asked him what was goin on back home and he would always say, your not missing anything and he was right. because as soon as I got back home and started watching the news, reading the paper all i seen was the same ole b.s. lies, lies, lies, lies.

I have a better chance of getting killed in my own country than I do in Iraq. If you think thats far fetched then compare the numbers over the last 3years. deaths in Iraq to in the US by accidents, murder and everything else besides natural causes. its not even close. I tried to tell everyone what it was like and none seem to listen. The ones I wrote while there, maybe understand better who knows. But I miss it and I am goin back. Its not for the money, its not for the adrenaline rush. Its for reasons that most will never understand.

I am a single man who's children are nearly grown and they gave me their blessing when I discussed it with them. So I am very comfortable with my decision in going back. Like I said its not as bad as it seems. If it was, why the hell would I go back then? I actually thought it would be alot more stressful and wear on me more during the last deployment, but far from it. I have had more stress dealing with idiots and women back home then in Iraq.

I really don't know what else to say that I haven't already said in the past. Iraq is a place that will stay with me forever. I lost friends and fellow soldiers while there. I made many more friends who are still there or heading over again. And I will make several more once I arrive again. I will do a job that will help our soldiers to stay safe and possibly save lives. So thats the main reason if your looking for one. But its not the only one. I know I will return again and I will be happier then than I am now. And I am currently a very happy camper. So call me crazy, stupid, brainwashed whatever. It irrelevant. I love what I do and I don't mind putting myself at risk to do it.

Two things...first, neverteaseit, I didn't want to make it sound like I needed an explanation from you, I just was intrigued by your desire to go back. God bless you, and may you be safe always. Your last paragraph was one of the coolest things I've ever read on this board.

Second...that picture is hysterical. Those guys are some smart-ass dudes...

sign from troops was classic--will eat at Kerry more than anything any politician could say.

Neverteaseit Saw AR's post upstairs 1st but wanted to wish you the best down here also. Doesn't surprise me a bit on your going back.
A person doesn't have to be for or against war to develop a comraderie with fellow troops and people there.

Won't try to words in your mouth but something about the look of desperation and hope in eyes of civilians and the bonding of those who serve next to you knowing their life is in your hands and visa versa--makes life stateside rather mundane (spl)
While all the conversing on it pro and con makes little diff here--one person with your attitude makes a big diff to many there. You DaMan in my book.:yup

If it was a bad joke why doesnt the idiot simply save some face and apologize?

As for Olberman....good lord do people really watch him? Upon what should anyone have any reason to care what he thinks about anything?

Apologize for what? Because you let some people make you believe their version of what he said? As for Olberman i will listen to an ivy league graduate who talks the truth over a bunch of guys who spin things so the weak-minded get all confused. What Kerry should be apologizing for is the fight he is showing because its 4 years to late.

trent lott had to resign because of all of the political backlash of a joke he made a few years back. he was crucified over his joke and lost his job. you have to choose every word carefully.

sponge, take lessons from this man. You can disagree wholeheartedly with politics but still have an open mind and strive to learn. You don't have to act like a jackazz constantly.

Kerry's done. He finally kissed every-ones ass as he should have 15 minutes after he screwed up. Now I hope we can get back to the bigger screw up this Iraq war that's going no place.

hopefully John Kerry never again casts a vote in favor of sending young men and women overseas in a place he will later refer to as "being stuck in"

WHY ARE NO DEMOCRATS CALLING FOR HIS IMMEDIATE RESIGNATION?????
