trent lott had to resign because of all of the political backlash of a joke he made a few years back. he was crucified over his joke and lost his job. you have to choose every word carefully.

I believe Lott only stepped down as Senate Minority Leader. He is still in the senate.

hopefully John Kerry never again casts a vote in favor of sending young men and women overseas in a place he will later refer to as "being stuck in"

WHY ARE NO DEMOCRATS CALLING FOR HIS IMMEDIATE RESIGNATION?????

For what because you are to stupid to realize you also are being played a fool by dispicable people spinning his words, who care nothing about this country but do care about power and greed.

sponge, take lessons from this man. You can disagree wholeheartedly with politics but still have an open mind and strive to learn. You don't have to act like a jackazz constantly.

Please, you trying to teach me something is like me trying to understand why 55 percent of the south always vote against their best interest. Why don't you find some type of political board in Virgina and go root for that racist senator down there. The Macaca fellow. Show us how the south will put in an openly racist, only like the south can. Normal people can see right thru this garbage but that 55 percent in the south you embrace like the clown you are, will once again show the country how to vote in the wrong man for the job.

just a heads up...when you tell people they are too stupid you should use the correct "too"....not 'to".....you would be more credible this way...otherwise you come off as being too stupid.

IMUS BEGS KERRY TO SHUT HIS TRAP

IMUS BEGS KERRY TO SHUT HIS TRAP

Kosars Right, the guy is a jackass.........He had to cancel his engagements around the country. What an ignorant thing to say. It's got to be that water in UMASS.

Dom Imus in a conversation Wednesday morning asked kerry to not say anything anymore, don't blow this for the democrats.
Them Imus finished and said " I'm begging you to not say anything, or do anything more " I'm begging you !

I think there is a clip on Youtube.

Kerry's defense is that he mistakenly said something very dumb in an effort to say how dumb Bush is. Now that's irony.

I only hope that Mr. Bush will put out a gracious press release accepting Mr. Kerry's word that it was not a slight against the military, but only a personal insult to the President of the United States.

Real apologies:

Never contain the phrases "my words were misinterpreted" (to make it or "any [one] who was offended." These are weasel words. Nothing is an apology which attempts offload blame or place blame anywhere but on the person making the apology. Such ?apologies? should never be accepted.

Never transition to an attempt to balance the scales by showing any other party is wrong in any way. Such ?apologies? should never be accepted. Indeed, they should be condemned not just as unmitigating excuses, but as abuses in their own right.

Mr. Kerry is at stage 3 of offense: 1) The original, unfortunate (arguably unintentional) offense; 2) A vicious, immature counterattack; 3) A transparent attempt at deflection ineptly disguised as apology. Each of these stages multiplies the offense.

Mr. Kerry must resign and his enablers and fellow-travelers must be called to account.

It is high time for a roll call of Democratic leaders and candidates.

Does it really matter what Kerry said...it will be forgotten about by the time the presidential election comes around. Anyway, This country needs new leadership; time to get away from the Clintons and the Bushs. They have run it for too damn long now. It's time to put a new clique in power.

Are you part of the 55 percent that voted in this president? If no your answer is no.

Well my answer is yes, i voted for the President. Does that make me dumb? Absolutly not. I am not happy with the way the past two years have gone, but for you to catagorize me as "dumb" just beacuse I am from the South and happened to vote for Bush last election shows who the "dumb" person really is in this exchange.

But now I am letting my anger get the best of me, and am getting off point. So I will let Sponge insult my intelligence from now on and let it be as to not get off the subject of the thread.

Back to Kerry...

have a little foresight for goodness sakes. This guy ran businesses into the ground and his family is a bunch of thieves. Yes you are clueless. They have done nothing for the poor or middle class and this was predicted before he won. When he won (that's if he ever did) the daily mirror in England ran a front page story saying "how can 55 million people be so dumb". Let me also say this we have 45 percent in my state who are clueless to but that is not a majority.

My problem is that every freaking state in the south back this guy and now we all have to pay for it and if he could run again lets say this Tuesday you all would vote for him again because they con you people in the south that they have moral values which is so far from the truth its pathetic. They run on high morals when they have none at all. Why do you people constantly vote against your best interest??? they do nothing for you but scare you and play the race card on you. I remember seeing a senator from NC talking so sadly on the jobs leaving his state and how he could never vote for Cafta. What did he do? He voted for Cafta. He sucked the people right in. Suckers

I was trying to be polite with my last post. But obviousally the sentiment is not mutual. You really need to shut the hell up and stop making brash generalizations.
I am from the South, yes. That does not make me stupid. Stop making youself look stupid by calling everyone in the South "you people", or "pathetic", or "clueless" or "suckers".
Listen, this is supposed to be about frank banter and thoughtful, reasonable discussion.
You have run every thread into the ground with your inane bashing, name calling and bomb throwing.
Do us all a favor and shut up, or keep it sensable.

I very rarley post, and when I do it is always polite. You have come in and gotten under peoples skin, and i guess that is what you are trying to do. But no one appreciates it, honestly.

Now I am finished with this crap.

"the bunker"
Gardenweasel the spytheweb thinks im a tool or ignorant mmmmmmmmm maybe kerry is right I should have stayed in college. Well crap actually i do have a college education and I graduated with honors. I guess that rules out college then. And I had a great job that paid very good. And I am far from brainwashed. No one forced me to go again or held a gun to my head. I have been wanting to go back ever since I got back in the states.

Like a buddy of mine said everytime I called home and I asked him what was goin on back home and he would always say, your not missing anything and he was right. because as soon as I got back home and started watching the news, reading the paper all i seen was the same ole b.s. lies, lies, lies, lies.

I have a better chance of getting killed in my own country than I do in Iraq. If you think thats far fetched then compare the numbers over the last 3years. deaths in Iraq to in the US by accidents, murder and everything else besides natural causes. its not even close. I tried to tell everyone what it was like and none seem to listen. The ones I wrote while there, maybe understand better who knows. But I miss it and I am goin back. Its not for the money, its not for the adrenaline rush. Its for reasons that most will never understand.

I am a single man who's children are nearly grown and they gave me their blessing when I discussed it with them. So I am very comfortable with my decision in going back. Like I said its not as bad as it seems. If it was, why the hell would I go back then? I actually thought it would be alot more stressful and wear on me more during the last deployment, but far from it. I have had more stress dealing with idiots and women back home then in Iraq.

I really don't know what else to say that I haven't already said in the past. Iraq is a place that will stay with me forever. I lost friends and fellow soldiers while there. I made many more friends who are still there or heading over again. And I will make several more once I arrive again. I will do a job that will help our soldiers to stay safe and possibly save lives. So thats the main reason if your looking for one. But its not the only one. I know I will return again and I will be happier then than I am now. And I am currently a very happy camper. So call me crazy, stupid, brainwashed whatever. It irrelevant. I love what I do and I don't mind putting myself at risk to do it.

i kind of figured that would be the general tone of your response.....the "brainwashed" thing was absolutely tongue in cheek......and the questions regarding your prospects were sheer sarcasm.....

i`m very happy that you confirmed that you have options...and feel as you do about what you`re doing...it was nice to see those sentiments in script......we don`t hear these things enough...if ever...

much love to you...be safe....

and again...please allow me to send a few pounds of imported turkish pistachios your way.....a small token for someone that is doing such important work for us all....

you don`t have to give your name...just leave an address with jack...and i`ll have them sent out in a day or two...you should get them early next week....

don`t pass `em up...if you don`t want `em,give `em to the kids or some friends....they`re nothing like the crap you buy here in the stores...and they`re heart healthy....

i`ll keep checking for your response....or just have jack e-mail me the addy that you want them sent to.....
