Well here we are back to the NFL.
It seemed like it took forever to come back around this year. I don't know , in some ways thats a good thing.
Looking to win this first game for a grand as I think strongly that the Jags are a playoff team and they will overpower the Titans and win the game.
I really hope that Harvey will play in this game. I think he could be a differance makers as the Titans offensive line will have big trouble stopping him from getting to Young and dropping Young on his ass pads in the backfield.
I will have to watch awhile before I can wager on the Atlanta Falcons. Thats a crapshoot there to start with Matt Ryan and all. I have a strong feeling that Detroits defense will shut the Falcons passing game, stunt the run , and whip the Falcons butts at the Dome. But I do not trust Detroits offense.
I smell money and it smells green !

Garrard is moving along to become a great QB in the league. The Jags let Leftwich go and gave the starting job to Garrard. Since then I have seen him make some bully run type plays. He is smart and very athletic for his size.
V Young is going in the opposite direction. Many more interceptions for the same amount of yards for Young than Garrard last year.
The best receiver Young has now is Alge Crumpler. The tight end the Falcons released.
The passing game will put this Titans offense in precarious position. They will have to run it. Will White step up time after time.
It seems simple enough.
Statement game for Jags to start the season in the Division.
Even though its a tough place to play in Tenn stadium. The Jags will be up to it and take this win home with them.
The running game has got to be in favor of the Jags. The rookie is fast but unproven. The Jags have a stout defense with first team in there playing hard four quarters.

The Titans have struggled in the red zone and they lost to the Falcons in Pre-season.
They seem to rely on field goals and that just will not cut it in the NFL .

If they lose to Tenn, and beat Buffalo at home, they go into Indy early in the season at 1-1
That is not the way to approach the Colts game.
They need to be 2-0 going to play the Colts
Only they can make that happen.
The Jags should be highly motivated to win the battle in the trenchs, and kick some ass.
Its the mental part of the NFL that gives teams a winning edge.
They seem to rely on field goals and that just will not cut it in the NFL .

Also thanks for last year taking care of the bashers that sometimes haunt my threads in the late of the night.
I know that you in your infinite wisdom will do the right thing in banning them consistantly.
I am thinking about being more humble this year and to try not to gloat over wins.
BBC seems to be in the center of a ring of bashers. He sends them in from time to time to just take me off my game and jinx me or something. Take the focus off winning. BBC also has the subtle bash where he will just wish you good luck and you know the rest.
Sometimes you have to take out the lead basher to get all the ankle biters.
I think kosar told me that one. It was right before Sponge left for a extended period.
