SO Jack- I must be missing the joke because Its hard to believe u didn't watch the college national championship football game last year, plus the rape charges and all the surrounding uproar about the Florida DA not pressing charges and the cops allegedly telling the purported victim some discouraging words about pressing charges against an FSU football player that occurred in the fall of 2013. You are too on top of sports for me to believe u didnt know who Winston was before Hedgehogs post. Anyway, the NFL is in serious danger of losing a portion of their fan base because of ignorant, entitled, self important classless criminal jackasses like Winston. When he enters the NFL it will be like throwing an anchor to a drowning man. He is the poster boy for whats wrong w football and the NFL. I dont give a fuck how well he throws the football, I don't want to root for Winston, I dont want to watch Winston. He doesn't resemble any student athlete I ever knew. I would LOVE to see the bullshit courses this man is taking at the fine academic institution that is FSU. One has to wonder if he were 5'8 and 175 lbs of his ignorant self if even FSU would have admitted him. The brain trauma thing , the lawless, classless wide ranging criminality of a large protion of the NFL players have resulted in a conversation that is going on in a lot of homes in America right now: do you want to condone and be part of this mess by watching it or is it time to turn our backs on the NFL of wife beaters, child abusers, murderers, misogynists, sadists, animal abusers, drug dealers and jackasses. By the NFLs own estimates One third of its players will suffer brain trauma in their lives. When i see a young hopeful player in the nfl draft i wonder if he knows he's heading for a meatgrinder that may leave him a vegetable in constant pain. How many games this season will feature a hit that makes the running back fumble by knocking him cold before he even hits the ground? The players r too big , too fast, too strong for the rules of the game if knockout tackles w legal hits r now part of the game. I am certain I could have played in the NFL for a limited 4-5 year period of time, ( was cut by the giants genius Bill Arnsparger who won maybe 2 or 3 games as a Giant head coach) but I am so grateful now that i dont have the extra wear and tear on my body that a d lineman would have absorbed in that time.
