Yup mostly us oldies but goodies! You will see alot of balding heads and pot bellies. A few hard bodies will be there also but mostly us old timers. Nice thing is that you can sit down and hear the music! Get to dance on a few tunes and when he says "Now here are some songs from my new album..." watch everyone make a mad dash for the bathroom.

i saw james taylor about 20 years ago at st. johns university. i was a big fan then & still think he has a great voice, but found his concert to be boring. he just stood by the microphone & sang all of his hits. it was like listening to him on a cd or radio, which i recommend instead.

Thanks for the input. I think I'll have to pass sounds kind of boring for me:sleep:so it wouldn't be worth the $100 bucks a ticket. I DO LOVE HIS GREATEST HITS AND WILL just continue to enjoy the cd from home or car:D

THANKS AGAIN

I've seen Sweet Baby James 4 times and each time was the same.

If you love his Cd you will love his concert because he does the songs EXACTLY like on the CD. He never changes anything. He is a little boring but your not going for a fireworks show.

I suggest buy lawn seats if avaliable and lounging on a blaket while listening. He isn't much to look at and the tunes are why you are there anyway. "Good Seats" are wasted on a man who looks like a High -school Teacher strumming a gituar.

Classic Artist...I would go again, but not for everyone.

JT will never be confused with Steven Tyler. If you are looking for a "rock" concert this is not it. Even in his younger days JT was no ball of lightning. Very mellow.

I like John Mayer (on radio now) and Billy Joel (great concert).

JT my not be your scene.

I can assure you of this James Taylor won't be throwing water or sweating on anyone.

you'll also see a lot of "smoking" at his concerts. I came home smelling like I had been burning my leaves all night from the second hand "smoke" Any artist from the 70s will be like that though as far as the crowd goes, a bunch of pot bellied fatties firing it up. :p

Above the Clouds....
Grew up with James Taylor in the 70's, yeah OK back then but 100 bucks a ticket is a little steep. They're are a lot of bands out there that are doing 70's and 80's stuff that are really good, and a lot cheaper. Have Fun!!

I remember Van Morrison played in Toronto a few years back and I went to the concert. I recall this old, bald, fat guy came on stage and started singing and lo and behold it was him. There was no applause or excitement when he came on because the crowd was too stunned. Nobody realized it was him.

Actually, I took a date to the concert and warned her that Van Morrison is known for jerking off on stage (of course mistaking him for Jim Morrison). After a great rendition of Moondance she turned to me and said "is this where he starts playing with himself because I can see myself getting off on that too."

With that comment I knew she was the girl for me and I ended up marrying her the next year.

After reading this yesterday, I went and picked my wife up from the airport and on the way home there was a billboard for James Talyor playing in Aug here in Chi town, and she's told me to look into it and get tickets, after reading this I might tell her not a good idea, I'll save money and just buy the CD
