I woke up this morning to a great email.

JP has donated $200, assorted macadamia nuts, and kona gold coffee to the Hippo-Phart contest. This is an amazingly generous donation......and I'm incredibly humbled by such a wonderful gift. This tells you the type of people that are here at madjacks. I didn't expect anyone to really donate anything and here I already have 6 people stepping up and offering to "sponsor" the contest.

This year is truly the best season to be a part of the Hippo-Phart Contest. Thank you to JP and everyone else that has offered up their goods and their good nature to this contest.

Oh...before I forget.....in one other generous act, JP is shipping 2 sets of goods.....one of which he has told me to keep as a personal gift from him. He didn't even know how much i LOVE macadamia nuts!!!!!

While serving with the U.S. Navy, I was stationed in Hawaii in the early 70's. I lived on the North shore in a house with 4 roommates. During my first year around Thanksgiving, our neighbor who worked for Hawaiian Tel heard that all of us would be working on the holiday. To our surprise, his family cooked us a huge turkey with all the trimmings and delivered the meal with several large pineapples. Their thoughtfulness and kindness taught us the spirit of "Aloha". Wonderful memories for me. God bless the Hawaiian people.

We took a family vacation to Hawaii back in the 70's. My brother found a cool tiki doll, but it was cursed. A mean and crazy professor kidnapped my brothers and me, and kept us in a cave. Thank gosh our sisters told dad where to find us, and he rescued us from the crazy old coot.
