Not a kid sorry for not telling the what the guy really is.
He's a college graduate and yes he is struggling to make it in the real world.
But I think somehow he will be taken care of no matter who he gets help from.
Glad he caught the ball and not some greedy prick like so many today :toast:

Exactly why would the kid be greedy if he wanted fair market value for his property? You act like these athletes would do the same thing. They are there for the money. That kid is a fool.

whoa !!....i actually agree with `foot........this guy is gonna regret this decision in a very short time.....he basically threw hundreds of thousands of dollars down a rathole for what?.....some tickets?...a few pats on the back?...

a hundred thou is pocket money for jeter...for many(most) it could be life changing....

as soon as the celebrity wears off, this guy will be kicking himself in the ass....

i hope jeter did the right thing and compensated him under the table(to save him some tax repercussions)..maybe that`s how it went down....

you don`t think that ball might be worth a hundred thou to a hardcore collector?....

if he wanted to come off as a "good guy"(instead of a "good dumb guy"),he couldd have sold the ball and given half to the kid who`s dad died in texas for a college fund.....

this is the real world....many people are up against it out there...
