are you following the game? the 2pt calls were the right calls in the flow of the game. of course, if NO doesnt cover the 1.5 i'm gonna be pissed too. :)

The point is (no pun intended), it was very likely that SFO would score again, which means that you're better off taking the 1. You can always go for 2 the 2nd time if you need to.

Oh well, bye-bye 7 units.

Delay of game first and goal from the five. This is not a very smart team. Kick the fg, but now a fg beats when it should be 30 - 27 Saints. No?

It is a pure #'s game, think like a coach instead of a gambler & you'll get it.

Congrats Saints bettors, as usual 49ers choke on a decent lead.

Whee, I managed 1 out of 6 early games. Stupidly took DET on ML instead of +3, looks like that will cost me bigtime.

I don't think all that many coaches would have chosen to go for the 2 point conversion in the third quarter when down by 5. It was obvious that thee would be more points scored; Saints only 40% this year on 2 point conversions; 49'ers were shutting down running game in most instances save the big runs. Having a wager on the Saints, I WAS happy that Mariucci did think like a coach when he realized that he had to allow the touchdown if he wanted any chance to go to overtime. Amazes me that more coaches don't realize when down by 1, that rather than let the opponent run out the clock, let them score so you have a chance to tie. Thanks, Coach Steve!

TCSN said it best-think like a coach and not a gambler...

Haslett without a doubt made all the right decisions on when to go for 2-pt conversion.

NEWP2112-watch more football games and it will all make sense to you in the end on why he went for 2
