Just talked with my best friend who lives in Ames and is a big Clone fan--says they are talking about switching starting QB's and going with the littler quicker roll out paser kid who started a number of games last year?

Nice, I was thinking that might happen when I made a play on ISU. IMO they should have done it in the Tech game. I have no problems with Janz(spelling) but he didn't make anything happen at all and didn't have the speed to help their running game.

that kid last year pulled off a few upsets for them!! Jared Barnett was the kids name, he is a junior this year.

Thanks for posting the info Hawkeye, great stuff especially knowing this kid could step in and really ignite ISU.

Been monitoring a Cyclone message board and a guy there was saying it was going to happen, but others said he was full of crap. Glad to know there was some truth there.

I now see this game playing out a little differently. A quick mobile QB has always given TCU fits. I'm sure there will be a few plays where the defense leaves the middle of the field open and he just takes off for big chunks of yards.

Still think the TCU D will keep the score low. Redzone defense has been great for TCU so far. The offense is a different story. The backup RBs need to step up their game or TCU is in danger of becoming a one-dimensional team. A balanced attack has been the offensive plan at TCU since Coach Patterson took over. The OL can't handle opponents rushing the QB on every down if they have to pass all the time.

Weather should be fine, so no more excuses for TCU's offense about not holding onto the ball. I'm going to pass on this game and try to enjoy it with my lady friend. Thought my Dad was going out of town and invited a friend of mine to go with me to the game. He understood. :0074

Local fishwrap had a story about the Clowns and it said Jantz will be starting this week against TCU, so who knows what will happen.
I don't think it matters though, as ISU gets smoked in this one...which mean those of you that have the Clowns + the points should be fine...:mj07:
