No, I just don't claim that I know everything, and just maybe Paterno is innocent until proven guilty???

Story was released in March. And then bottled.

Urben Meyers reportedly stated publicly that he would take the reigns at Penn State if Joe Pa went out on his own terms.

Urben Meyer recently purchased property four miles from Penn State facility.

Discuss.
I bet Urban didn't know about this shit storm. Imagine how tough it's going to be to recruit to PSU after this. How much money will they have free to pay a coach after all of these lawsuits settle?

It is in the grand jury report that the witness heard "slapping sounds" in the shower and then witnessed Sandusky having anal sex with a boy aprroximately 10 years old.

If that is indeed true of course he's a piece of shit, just doesn't seem logical.

Indeed. Have you read the grand jury report? It's very incriminating to all involved. In the general discussion forum MadJack has the report linked...check it out. I would've defended Joe until reading the report.

All 23 pages or more, no. I'm talking specifically about what Paterno may or may not have known. He is only part of the 1 claim at this point and everyone wants to roast him?
If anybody witnesses someone in the act with a 10 year old they should be liable for not stopping it right then and there, I mean was this witness physically impaired? He had to run to Paterno and leave it at that??? Sounds bogus that's all.

Paterno had to go to the AD and leave it at that? It goes both ways. I agree with you but both of these guys should've been following up with the AD or law enforcement. Let's say Paterno only knew about the one incident in 2002, he still continued to allow Sandusky in his athletic buildings up until recently...very recently.

True, I am by no means justifying his lack of action.
If Sandusky is guilty, he should be beat repeatedly.

Yes well said Skipper and let me say this.... hopefully God would have mercy on my soul if I was the father of one of those children. Because I certainly wouldnt be calling on the police, I would be calling on Mr. Sandusky...and willfully face the music for my dismissing him from this world. And shame on you Jo Pa, having watched your teams all thru my childhood and admiring them and you as a living legend and icon and spokesperson for everything that is college football and athletics for not doing what was right and standing up for Penn St and most importantly for those boys and their families who are permanently scarred. And now you will live with this discusting scar as your legacy. Way to go Coach, it was fourth and short, and instead of going for it and doing what was right....you punted Joe, now you lose....get on the bus and get the +$@# out of town. Never thought I would say that about a coach I truly loved and admired for 40 years....but I mean it

Prento - it is ironic you said this, and thanks for the recognition btw, but my wife and I have talked about this situation on occasions. If something like this happened to one of my children, I told her she should call the police and have them lock me up until I could not be in contact with said predator. If not, it would take every fiber of my being not to kill the son of a bitch.

BTW, I tried to fax the blog to the Penn State athletic dept. on numerous occasions today, and only received a busy signal. Since they have not fired him yet, I hope they let him coach and pray that no one show up at that game this week.

Well I guess he's gone now and it's probably the right move. What a total fkn mess it is there. I can't imagine how the players and fans are gonna be when Nebraska comes rolling in Sat. I mean the guys been on the sidelines since the 60's. Gonna be strange for sure. I'm part sad and part mad at Jo Pa gonna take some time for us coll foots fans to deal with and filter this one. Best of luck to u all this weekend as we wind down another season.

Paterno's arrogance never wavered. See ya old man :sadwave: I love how he still thought he was calling the shots. If anyone is in a death pool, jump on Paterno. Sandusky won't be alive for his trial. I feel sorry for Penn St. alums, they won't be able to wear any gear for 5 years without getting heckled or jumped. Good luck playing on the road. What a disgrace

Sounds like this is just the beginning of a much much worse scandal. Rumors floating around yesterday that the boys in the charity were being pimped out to big wig boosters. at this point that wouldn't surprise me.

Grand jury report states that every home game Penn St football team and coaches stay at a golf resort. The report also said that Sandusky had a little kid in his room overnight most of those games. So everyone knew he was a pedophile and saw him with little boys all the time and nothing was said. They ignored the problem. Shame on them. It time to pay the piper. That goes for Paterno also.
