I know a lot of you have been to Washington D.C. before and I am curious to know about anything I should see. Will be in D.C. for five days.
I am already planning on ?
Air and Space Museum
Museum of Natural History
Monuments (Lincoln etc?)
The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall
Union Station
Didn?t know if there is anything else I should consider.
As far as restaurants go - we are dining at Legal Seafoods at some point, but that is the extent of our dining plans - any other suggestions will be helpful.
Thanks,
Dude do not go to a Legal Seafood place in DC. Might as well go to a Hooters.
Go to the Georgetown area, the women will love it for the shopping. It's upscale with some great restaurants. Just a gorgeous area really.
If you've never had it and are into trying new cuisine there is some phenomenal Ethiopian food there.
catch a Nationals game
plenty of good restaurants. don't be lame and go to chains. tons of unique restaurants around the town. splurge a lil and go somewhere other than Golden Corral.

For good steak I send folks to the District Chophouse.
For nice quick local food selection when touristing on The Mall, you can't beat the Pavillion at the Old Postoffice. It's a few blocks west of the District Chophouse (couple blocks north of Museum of Natural History).
Be sure to visit real popular places, like the Air and Space Museum, right at opening or closing to avoid huge crowds. At peak hours visit monuments or less-visited stuff. And the National Archives (where you view the original documents of the US) is open to 9pm on Thurs and Fri--after all the other main tourist museums are closed.
