Some addiction is a choice..I smoke weed because I love it. I have quit for a few years but I started again .

If Gordo says he needs treatment, that is part of his own solution, at least he admits he can't control it. It's only temporary anyway, he's going to miss part of the season so it's the best time to get the help he needs so when he's out he'll be a step closer to healing, it may take a life long healing process as addiction doesn't go away overnight and plus he hung around Johnny Manziel, so it may take even longer..
