What's the big deal?

I don't mind paying a few thousand extra every year if it helps knock out the deficit.

BFD

It's the people who make money that are whiney asses and want something for nothing too.

Who cares if some of the unfortunate, or lazy if you want to call them that, get off easier. If you think it's easier living the way they do, quit working or make less and pay less.

......and stop running the world. If we pulled our troops back and raised taxes back to where they should be, we would be on our way.

Hmm, this one should get the forum rocking... nice job, Jack.

The thing is, I agree with many conservatives that we should do a better job of managing taxpayer money. I have NEVER understood why so many special interest projects in local states get so much funding, and that extends to every state and every legislator that promotes and accepts it. Why should the government fund so many things when they are in such default? This deficit is so out of hand that it is becoming a national security issue, IMO.

I know that we cannot agree on some of the big things, but I do not understand why we cannot forego some of the special interest issues for a few years until the country gets back to a reasonable economic outlook. If you look at every budget, there are hundreds if not thousands of projects that could be done without, at least for a few years.

OR, across the board cuts of 5% or 10%, something like that, until we get financially secure as a country. We have to face facts, individually, or we are going to be in serious trouble. I have no problem paying more in taxes if that money is not going to stupid places - which in many cases it is now. I think you know I lean your direction, but it's time to be realistic about this.

The biggest thing that ticks me off is the ongoing mission of republicans to preserve tax cuts at a time of war - which was unheard of prior to Bush 2. And now we have the new republicans that are going to waffle on the wars, and yet make tax cuts the number one priority of their position.

You cannot have it both ways, IMO. How are any of the high earners in this country sacrificing when we are at war (on multiple fronts) if we keep the tax cuts enacted by the Bush administration, which reduced tax rates to historic lows and did little to help the economy, in reality.

We NEVER had tax cuts in this country when engaged in war, before Bush 2. And that is a fact that cannot be avoided... IMO, FWIW.

I will agree with the tax hike if i can control the budget spending. More taxes means more money these corrupt pricks can spend.

As noble as that sounds, that money would never go to reducing the debt. At the rate that the Federal Reserve is creating money to keep the stock market propped up, we could all put $10K in every year, and it wouldn't do shit.

Check out this link to see the schedule for the POMO program. Click on "All Schedules", and scroll down to see how much money the Fed had used to make everybody think things are all rosey, and good times are right around the corner. I don't see a happy ending at this rate.

I say tax everyone at the same rate whether you make 30K per year or 30 million, 15% would be plenty, no capital gains tax, 0 inheritance tax, no deductions. simplify tax code, get rid of the IRS...

the fair tax then

better vote for Herman Cain as he is the only one I have seen that supports it.

Get rid of the IRS :142smilie

Get rid of all the tax attorneys :142smilie

get rid of H& R Block :142smilie

it would put millions out of work.

and probably not have a affect on the deficit at all.

I understand your preocupation with this particular benefit as you should be getting a determination from them soon for your disability claim after your wife did the ole :chairshot to your head after you lost her life savings in your "buy high/sell low" blunder of the decade :)

Shows how much you know.

You know damn well you are going to suck that goverment tit at 65 or before when your belly finally falls to your shoes and you are disabled.
You could not admit this in this forum as it would make you look like a total ourtight dumb ass after all you have said about welfare mothers.

So we can all agree you are a bold faced lie.

My wife has been unable to work since 2007

Although we could have easily applied for Disability for her, we dont believe in that. You know sucking the goverment tit thing.

Just because you are a lieing sack or shit dont mean that I am.

I hope your wife never needs to collect Disability
maybe hurt washing dishs at her third job while you sit on your fat ass in a small office with two windows, waiting for the first black person to walk in the door after 25 years.

If your wife were eligible i know you would have her sucking tits right now.

:)
