Actually, we are all victims of media abuse. Sensationalism, whether its medical error, wild verdict awards or whatever is all that makes the news. Whose to blame, I don't know if anyones to blame because it seems like the average American dolt likes to watch that crap.

I mean the number one rated shows should be Frontline and Nova. Instead people watch Survivor, American Idol, Batchelor and Who Wants to Marry My Dad. I mean talk about the dumbing down of America. Folks (if I may borrow a phrase from the big dummy himself) we are already there.

So sound bites, big catchy headlines, McDonalds burnt thighs garners millions, makes the news and feeds bias' and prejudices. It also pays advertisers. I think the message in Good Night and Good Luck is pretty good on the benefits and the dangers of television. For those that haven't seen it, do see it however, a warning, watching the movie may cause lung cancer.
