kazaa lite question

Hey all,
Is it still safe to download any music/material off kazaa light?? I dont know of any other programs to use out there. Thanks for all your feedback in advance

Yeah, actually there was a court ruling recently that banned music companies from asking providers to provide user names who are downloading music.


Kazaa lite is good, you can also try limewire. That's pretty good as well. I'm sure other people use some other programs.

BearShare is also another good program to download music, etc. I was using kazaa light, but they started charging to get the latest version and that's why I switched. Haven't had any problems yet w/ BearShare. Good luck!:D

If you want music, I use WinMX, but as for movies, try Sharereactor, but you'll need Emule or Edonkey software to download them and Nero to burn them to vcd or svcd. I found that Winmx has alot more variety than the others. And as far as safe goes, if you're worried about them tracing your IP address, I would recommend a router. But it really doesn't matter, if they wanna bust you they will find a way. All music has a certain encryption encoded to it. All they have to do is compare the original song to that of which you have downloaded and viola, an exact copy. If you want to "hide" the songs you download, I would suggest you change your song's encryption. Best of luck.

thanks for the added info chopsticks....Sounds like i need a PHD in computers to do what you are saying. Sounds like it is safe though. Thanks again
