You got that right. Anyone that knows anything about cycling will find it at the least highly improbable that Armstrong had the most incredible run in the sport's history, while being surrounded by cheaters, without getting some unnatural help.

If you wrote a movie about his story, nobody would believe it. Cycling is the most dope-filled sport this side of baseball. I would love to believe that Lance was clean, but reality makes me question it. :sadwave:

i`ve got some bad news for you,my dude..i just heard that your college is rescinding your diploma even though you passed all your exams with flying colors...at the top of your class.... seems some of your fellow students say you cheated(many years after the fact...they didn`t come forward until they were caught).....they don`t have any proof per se other than their word...they were able to keep their diplomas by ratting you out....

this is crazy...bizarro world stuff....seems that in today`s america you`re guilty until proven innocent....everything`s been flipped on it`s ear... i`m not surprised because over the last few years, success at anything in this country seems to be a criminal. offense......

but i smell the french here...they`ve been bitching since armstronmg won the first tour-de france...

There's no way he did what he did without doping.

But they probably didn't know how to test for what he was doing at the time and they really just need to let it go.

will they go after the guys that finished second(to armstrong in the tour de france) with the same brio that they went after armstrong?...for years on end....and if he`s dirty, the 3rd guy...and the 4th?......of course not...they wanted armstrong...and they were willing to spend millions of our money to get him...

and this floyd landis character?...wouldn`t you love that guy having your back?...

i say,if your tests aren`t good enough, you`d better spend some of that taxpayer money developing a better test....christ,if they`re so easy to beat, why bother?

toss Lance into a bag with Barry bighead Bonds, Sammy the Bull Sosa and what do you have

cheaters

make him pay back all the money he won in all races over the years and we would have something to talk about

Jack is right. No one cares about this but maybe the french.

I saw Lance in a interview years ago and what a arrogant ass he was.

Hard to feel for that guy

Ostapchuk.jpg

Nadzeya Ostapchuk, the Belarusian athlete who won the women?s shot title at the London 2012 Olympics, has tested positive for a banned substance and will have her gold medal taken away from her.

Ostapchuk, 31, put together her best ever series at a major championships to defeat world champion Valerie Adams of New Zealand. With four throws over 21 metres, Ostapchuk?s 21.36m was the best winning mark at the Olympics since 1988.

But the IOC today announced that Ostapchuk had given a urine sample the day before the final and one after the final. Both samples showed traces of the banned substance metenolone, an anabolic steroid.
..................................................................

Whinerguy could not wrench the gold out of her hands.

""By the time of the Mitchell report, Dykstra had moved on to a short-lived prominence as a stock-picking savant with the blessing of Jim Cramer of CNBC?s ?Mad Money.? As with Dan Herman and others who hitched themselves to Dykstra during his well-publicized financial rise, Cramer?s fascination would seem to have been at least partly rooted in baseball rooting. He grew up in Philadelphia, and one of his first jobs was selling ice cream at Veterans Stadium.

In 2005 Cramer gave Dykstra a stock investment column on the TheStreet.com, a Web site he co-founded. Customers paid $999.95 a year for Dykstra?s advice, which was mixed with baseball aphorisms.

Chris Frankie, another onetime Dykstra and Mets fan, edited the column and said that Dykstra?s market prowess was no fabrication, as some came to believe as his life fell apart.

?I do think Lenny was deceptively smart in a lot of ways,? Frankie said. ?He didn?t know everything about every company; he had about 100 stocks that he followed. He had a research assistant. He made picks when I was with him.?

Cramer insisted that Dykstra had legitimate market instincts, as long as he mimicked his baseball career, tried to hit singles and doubles, and didn?t swing for the fences.

?Lenny was doing really well, coming up with some terrific winning ideas,? Cramer wrote in an e-mail. ?And then, well, honestly, I don?t know. It?s a sad story.?"

seriously, the guy had some success as a stock analyst...he made some money...and couldn`t handle it......he fooled alot of people...

in the end,he went bad and shit on his own family....actually a pathetically sad story...

There is no doubt the French have hated the fact that the 1-nut American dominated their race. However, if they were in cohoots w/ an American agency. That would be the all time unbelievable movie.

strange bedfellows,indeed.... ...but not shocking,imo....

what gets my hackles up was reading an article on the case where the writer insinuates that all these riders are willing to testify against armstrong...some that are clean...but what really makes me wonder is the timing...these armstrong investigations have been ongoing for up to 17 years(depending on where you start this clusterfuck)...you`d have to think that all these riders have been questioned, interviewed or signed statements in regard to armstrong previously(his teammates,etc)...

were they telling the truth then?....or now?...personally,i wouldn`t want to bet anyones career on this caliber of witness...

that`s just one of many issues i have with this mess...

but who cares?...i`m still trying to come up with something for lawtchan`s "caption this" thread....:142smilie
