MADE LV
MADE LV
Was supposed to head out to my favorite festival of the year last night GREEK FEST, but Mother Nature had other plans for us. We had quite the storm come through and pelted the valley with a lot of rain and hail and a spectacular light show that I can still see in the distance.
So we decided to try a new restaurant in Tivoli Village called MADE LV. It is from the same owners who run an establishment called Honey Salt that brings farm to table good food at relatively cheap prices for Las Vegas.
We get there about 7:30 and as usual at Tivoli Village the place is packed. 30-40 minute wait but we had nothing to do so I went and got a couple beers at the bar (Magic Hat #9 for me and a Bud Light for the high class Ol lady). I bring them back to the waiting area and my wife mentions how loud the place is. Since I'm a Rock and Roller it was normal for me. It's an open concept place and the acoustics make it loud I guess.
After another round we get seated. It took about 40 minutes.
Since we have my 20 year old daughter with us and she has her first day of work the next day we say screw the appetizers and order everything together. The menu consists of some apps, some salads, some sandwiches, a few dinner plates, some dips, some carbs, ad dessert.
We opt for the wings (buffalo), the dirty mac n cheese, a burger, and some poutine (gravy and cheese covered fries---it's a Canadian thing).
The burger was flippin awesome. A double burger cooked to perfection with your normal lettuce, tomato, and red onion. We split it in half and wow was it flavorful....DOUBLE STACK BURGER MEISTER - 12.00 creekstone farms beef, cheddar cheese melt, made l.v. steak sauce, french fries, etc...
the dirty mac was good. My daughter had 3 bites left and wanted to take it home so she really like it.....DIRTY MAC & CHEESE - 7.00
burnt pork ends, four cheese,
peas, ritz cracker crust
The poutine was done on steak cut fries and they weren't as crispy as I'd like but overall a good flavor to it and hearty....POUTINE ? 9.25
house kennebec fries, two eggs, turkey gravy,
cheddar curds
add: bacon or ham +2
and the wings were just wings....the sauce was not very spicy and JESUS CHRIST doesn't anyone serve blue cheese with buffalo wings anymore....fuck ranch dressing....BUTCHER STYLE CHICKEN WINGS - 9.50
hot smoked, flash fried
salt & vinegar, sriracha, buffalo, or bbq
Overall a great experience and with the food bill with an added round of beers added to it came to 56 bucks for the three of us, you could hardly complain and actually I will go back because I liked the quality of the food and the service was impeccable.
Now I'm going to kill the dog out back that has been barking since 5 am.....
