I've always said that once I'm through with law school I'd like to own a couple horses, even if they are crappy little claimers, just for the enjoyment of it. But seeing this type of thing happen makes me second-guess that. I would just be crushed, and not because of the money. Just sad.

Really a sad thing to watch. I've been at the track when a horse breaks a leg and has to be put down. One of the saddest situations in all of sports when something like this happens. To her credit she gave all she had and ran a great race. At least the horse did not suffer for long.
