Wayne, of course I have no way to know if the case was handled in an appropriate manner, nor the jury verdict, I do think it's important. I really think there is a bigger picture here than narrow face value, but probably am in the minority in that in many respects.
I do seriously question others here besides you, Wayne (for once...

) that say this should have been no big deal. I certainly think that if the parties were reversed, it would be a liberal politics issue for some. And I guess if one doesn't want to look at it from an overall perspective and have blinders on about the verbiage of Plame and what she was doing narrowly, then I guess that's the way it will be defended. I don't think this really is about Plame in what is important about it (although it would have been if parties were reversed). I think it's about the lengths the administration went - and will go to - to enact their agenda in Iraq, and maybe further.
As for his sentence, I guess I don't care that much about his actual jail time - if he gets any. I certainly think members of the cabal deserve some, but impossible to pinpoint from my chair. I am mainly glad attention is being placed right in the middle of this administration. Hopefully the light will remain on in the cockroach room for a while.
