I am right.

No one here knows about LED/LCD refresh rates (blur).

LCD technology has problems with fast motion That is why you see ones advertised with 120Hz or 240Hz refresh rates (100Hz and 200Hz in Europe). This does not come close to Plasma though. So they aren't as good for fast motion (sports and movies). The 240Hz ones are making good strides, but right now you're paying a HUGE premium for it.

People here say "I ain't got no blur. Picture is perfect!":00hour Yaaaaa! Fuckin' Yaaaaa!

Truly they have no clue.

Plasma is better. Especially for sports.

Other argument..... "is your room dark because I live in a greenhouse and I have to have an LCD TV.

Plasma isn't wayyyyyyy better but it is better than LCD/LED.

Guess it doesn't matter anyway. It's not like you are going to be watching quality movies on it.

We are going to so.......do some shots Joker at the golf outing........:toast:

Agree 100%....but, some people just can't pick up the image blur. It's like a fart in a room of 100 people, maybe 25 people who have a good sense of smell scope it out.

It doesn't matter what the refresh rate is, I see image blur with with LCD. My house has plasmas, LCD and an LED, but any time I am sitting down to watch a sport it's on the plasma. If you can't notice a difference then consider yourself lucky...because when you can, the image blur is horrible to the point where it ruins the sport you are watching.

When I'm watching football, it's highly likely that my vision is blurred anyway. :0008

Dawgball,

Take some time man and find out what you really want. Don't get me wrong, I love Costco and they have great electronics, great prices, and a great return policy. One thing about Costco though, read this recently in a great book is that they entice people by having all of their great plasmas, LCD's, and LED's at the front of the store - and they have great prices - all marked down from retail. This entices people to shop there for a lot. It's a psychological thing and other wholesale places like Sams club and BJ's do it too. You see the incredible prices and fancy tv's they have along with all of the jewelry bargains (they always have this up front too) and you will shop for other products there too which actually you're just buying in bulk at a slight discount.

I have found that one place you should look is the internet to compare prices because sometimes you just might beat out Costco and those others on some of their prices. All of them have warranties anyways right? I have found some of the best websites for doing this to be sites like slickdeals.net and fatwallet.com. You can find some great deals out there though, the price of TV's are coming down with all of the new technology out there. Good luck with whatever you decide!
