GL to your sons team Mama......... :)

Franky, hope i haven't misled anyone here, but think i've been pretty clear about it.... but this is NOT my sons team. he's only 10 years old, and was in the Minor League this year.... he's just hoping to be part of a team that makes it this far in a couple more years.

It's the 12 yr olds (1 - 11yr old) from the Park/League that he plays at. if it was HIS team, i would be at the games :D right now, i'm only hoping to take him to SEE a game in PA

In fairness, BTJ has taken a bit of stick for not paying up, but if you go back to the posts, it was clear that he said the picks to start on Monday, and Fletch then went ahead and posted a load of heavy chalk plays in one day!

I say, arrange a new contest starting Monday???

Mama, congrats on the little leaguers.....lets hope the Fletch issue doesnt detract from a great thread!!!

okay, now it's down to crunch time, pressure time, stress time, whatever i can be called for lil kids! IA is guaranteed the number one seed for the semi-finals, but unfortunately, once that goes to ELIMINATION games, their previous records in pool play don't mean squat any more (other than the fact they are a GREAT team) ... but as all you guys know, the worst team can beat the best team on any given day, and they don't have the shot of 2 outta 3 to prove anything, it is now DO or DIE!! :( no mistakes are allowed from here on out ;)

looks to me as if IA open up the elimination rounds against N/S Dakota (the only team they didn't play in the pool play round) and regardless of the result of tonights game, MN will play against KS again tomorrow night as the 2/3 seeds..... had the afternoon game had different results, a 1-3 team would have made the elimination rounds, and the opportunity to move on to PA, so as i said, records to this point can be discarded.....GO NWLL, kick some rear end the next couple of nights!!!!!!! (cuz i wanna see if BTJ really sends a money order) ;)

you guys have no clue as to how bad friday nights TV decision will be when NWLL is on ESPN tho....LOL ....... we FINALLY live where all Bear games are telecast, and for cryin' out loud, wouldn't ya know they are AGAINST each other!!!!!! sounds like time to relocate some TV's at dad's house.... :D

Just left the Iowa game. They won 10-2, Second or third pitcher 13 k's. He threw some good heat and had a nice change up, some fans said they had 1 or 2 pitchers better than him. Hard to imagine. Impressed with Wisconson also, had a kid named Justice who hit three homers last night and turned three or four double plays. Played ss deep in the grass and had a great arm.

DIII (or MT as i know and love ;) ) .....LOL thank you SOOOOOO much for posting these results... i swear i would have been going bananas tonight if it weren't for you!!! had to leave the house literally SECONDS after reading your post, and as of that time neither the NWLL site or the Regional site had results posted yet, and the whole time i was gone, i did not hear the results ANYWHERE!!!!

Great to hear you made it to see them play....sure wish we could do it... but as long as they win tomorrow night, their next 3 games will be televised from Williamsport (and i'll be watching them from a campground in Minnesota....LOL)

pretty awesome bunch of kids, aren't they?? and yes, you were informed correctly from fans... Eric is probably about their 3rd best pitcher.... anyone watching tomorrow night, i'm guessing right now they start with Franklin, and any sign of trouble they switch to Grothus (although could be the other way around)

GO NWLL, ya need the check from BTJ ;)

gonna keep this thread to the top for all you folks that said you would help if they still needed it towards PA... i'm assuming they will, but don't know that for sure yet... and BEANIE, this means YOU in particular ;)

now for the *family joke* about my lazy butt son ;)

here is a picture of NWLL's park in relationship to our home (what?? 3-4 blocks max??) and he still expects to be DRIVEN to practice and to games rather than hopping his butt on a bike or walking!!!! I'll tell ya what...things are a changin' next year!!!!

Congrats Bahama Mama!!!!

I was at a sports bar with some buddies tonight(birthday get together). We were cheering for Iowa tonight like we had a million dollars on them!

When they made the final out, I jumped for joy! People around me must have thought, "WTF is up with this guy?"

Let us know if the web-site is different going into the Little League World Series. I'll be making a donation towards their trip as I promised I would.

Man, tonight reminded me so much of when I was a little leaguer. It's Hell gettin' old.

Take care and................................

Chubb that victory!!!!

:spotting: :jump: :spotting:

(That should be physically impossible for you so I'll do it for you).

KC, i'm hoping to see him show up at the park tomorrow for the cookout, and i'll tell him Hi for ya!!! We're still discussing possibilites of making it to one of the games in PA, and still getting up for a last chance to see the kids' dad before school starts... would be SWEET if we could do both, but gas prices SUCK!!! (not that i have to tell you that) we need to be in MN by 8/24
