Wouldn't have mattered, Anthony, but appreciate it. I arranged for a 4:45am wake-up call. We slept through it. At 5:15 there was a LOUD banging at the door. I woke up and there were 2 guys in suits at the door making sure we were up. Never seen that before, but it was definitely appreciated it.

Jack still missed his 6:30 flight and he caught a 10:30 flight, so not that bad except for a long delay in Chicago so he didn't get home until like midnight or something. I barely caught my 7:05 flight and made it home at 4:30pm.

Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!

I miseed your call, man.

The WSOP is a real ballbuster. I go for 48 straight days, usually 15-17 hours in the trenches.

There is nothing I'd rather do than to see my man Jack and drink down about five slammers. But, a man's got to work. Here is is 5 am and I just finished the day and got to be back at 11 am.

Jackie baby, please call me. I don't care if Johnny Chan is in my ear, you are getting the attention.

I'm going to sleep now. 702-358-4642.

I'll be up about 10:00.

Oh and Kosar if you are here, come see me or talk to Jack. We always disagreed on that bet. But Ill fork over whatever the number is and let's move on.

I told myuself I'd never post here again for all the BS -- but for some reason that you all will understand, Jack brings out good things in people.

I'd love to go back to the way it was once upon a time, but I guess those days are over. Jack -- call me babe, and all the cocktails are on me. Kosar, you and I will always disagree about the terms of that deal, but my loyalty to Jack runs to deep that I would not ming being more involved here and $500 is a ****ing penny when it comes to clearing up ugpleasantness that has gone far too long.

hi nolan, just catching up with posts. i spent 2 or 3 days without touching the computer. the longest in 9 years i think. thanks for the beers and ideas and offers you think you can manage from pokerstars. that would be absolutely fantastic.

nolan took me to the final table of one of the early events and hachem and dutch boyd were playing with 2 other unknowns. i got to sit at nolan's media seat with computer and all. tv cameras evcerywhere. i just hope to be in one of those seats in august.

i'll be emailing you some info in the next few days, nolan, and thanks again!!

What a great trip! Got home late last night after a detour to Santa Fe to visit my uncle.

I can not tell you guys how much I enjoyed meeting a few of my MadJack friends in Vegas. Without exception, everyone was extremely cordial and friendly. What a nice group of folks showed up!

Got into town on Thursday evening and after getting settled into my room at the Rio, headed over to meet Jack at the Aladdin. I had never met any one from this site before and was not sure what to expect. When I arrived at Jack and Kosar?s suite, Lawtchan, Ctownguy, Kneifl, Kosar and Jack were waiting for me before heading down to the London Club for drinks. Introductions were made all around and when I got to Jack, he stuck out his hand and said, ?Hi, I?m Agent?.

I didn?t know any better and thinking that Jack must be showering or something, started talking to this ?Agent? guy while Kosar was trying to decide if he was going to get cleaned up or not. Anyway, after probably five minutes of talking to ?Agent?, I asked him what his first name was. He looked at me like I was a stupid MF?er and said, ?Jack!?.

I felt like a dumbass but how the hell was I supposed to know? Jack tells me he was just messing with me and we all had a good laugh about that. The six of us headed downstairs and found a great little cubbyhole in the bar with three couches where we had a seat, ordered some beers and started getting to know each other.

Lawtchan was leaving town the next morning so I asked him a few questions about himself and his horrible experience with Katrina and the aftermath of relocating, etc. Living in Houston where a lot of the people from New Orleans have relocated, I have heard many of these stories but it always makes me think about how fragile life can be. Lawtchan seems to have rebounded nicely and it was great meeting him and I also want to thank him for picking up that tab. He would not listen to any of our arguments. This meeting was a nice icebreaker for the weekend and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone in attendance before we went our separate ways.

Saturday at noon, we all met at the bar at Max?s (Palm Grille?) and I got to meet DogsThatBark and his wife Li, AR182 and his wife Suzanne, as well as TerryRay. I was struck again by what a nice group of people these were. At lunch I sat across from Jack, DTB and Li and next to Ctownguy and had very nice conversation with all of them. Nice grub there at Max?s and the 3-for-1 drinks made lunch pretty lively.

After lunch, I met up with some friends who live in Vegas and proceeded to drink my way to a very crappy three hours at a blackjack table at the Venetian. Got home around 1:00 am and was really feeling it the next morning. From the sound of things, I was not alone in my misery. Spent some time early Saturday afternoon rehabbing by the pool at the Hard Rock Hotel before going back to my room to get ready for the Saturday night dinner. Very nice eye candy there if you have never been!

Arrived at the Tillerman Saturday evening and most were already there. I had failed to introduce myself to Ms. Dee at lunch on Friday but I was glad to meet this very nice lady. Jack introduced me to Senor Capper when he strolled in and ended up sitting across from him and CTownguy at dinner. Both are very classy guys and I greatly enjoyed our conversation. For dinner, I sat between Kosar and Terryray and also had a better chance to get to know AR182 and his lovely wife. For those that haven?t met Al, he is quite a character and Suzanne has a wonderful personality and is smiling all the time.

I do not think that anymore needs to be said about the wonderful meal and accommodations that we had at the Tillerman. That place is definitely on my list of restaurants to visit on future trips. I do not remember the last time I enjoyed myself so much with a group of people that I barely knew. What a wonderful mix of personalities and some very bright people as well. (Yeah I know, who would have figured?) I particularly enjoyed my conversations with Terryray who, like has been pointed out, is an extremely rounded person with an intellectual point of view on every topic we discussed. It was also nice having the chance to talk to IE when he called at dinner and I hope to meet him some day as well.

After dinner, Jack, Matt and I sat in the bar for probably half an hour waiting for a cab and then stopped by the Hard Rock for a couple of hours where we had several cocktails while checking out the female talent. That place rocks and is one of my favorite people watching spots anywhere. I had a great time talking to these two and we swapped many great stories of many varied subject. By the time we parted, I felt like I had known them for years and we made tentative plans to meet again later this summer. What a great pair of friends these two are. I will forever compare them to Mutt and Jeff.

In summary, I could not be more happy that I decided to make this trip. The camaraderie was outstanding at every turn and I feel lucky to have made so many new friends. Jack, Matt, Gary, Jim, Al, Wayne, John, Lanny, Ms. Dee and Lawtchan, it was a real pleasure to meet each and every one of you. Wayne and Al, your wives were both delightful and give a true perspective to the term, ?better half?.

Finally, thank you Jack for providing this opportunity to finally meet some of my MadJack friends and for being such a gracious host. I really look forward to future events like this. Thanks also to Scotty with BetJamaica for underwriting a fabulous dinner and also for the nice surprise that all in attendance received.

There was a definite process by which one made people into friends, and it involved talking to them and listening to them for hours at a time.
