Race 8 # 3 Mocefis
This 7 YO doesn't have the best record in the race but he might be peaking now. On Aug 28 he ran a near best Beyer number for dirt then came back on Sept 4 to run a near best Beyer on turf but he did it under difficult circumstances. He's a deep closer, yet he was able to close to within a length at the finish despite ridiculously slow fractions of :52 and 1:16 4/5. It won't be any surprise if he's beaten but at 15-1 or 20-1 he's worth a shot.
