Ball St. @ Bowling Green (-1)
I am going to watch this game live at Anderson Arena, and want to load up on (and cheer for) the home team. Is there anyone who agrees/disagrees on this, and if so, why?
Thanks for the help!

Well, to me it says take BG.
Why is a 14-8 team getting points (now -2)
against a sub-par/ below .500 ball club?

Probably because the East dominates the west division to the tune of 19-6 this season. Western conference teams road wins over Eastern teams are few and far between. This has been a constant over a few years now. Also the conference records are skewed for the very same reason that I mentioned. Ball St ran the table against their inept Western foes while BG had to play teams like Buffalo and Kent.
IMO the line was right where it should have been. I looked at this game from every angle and i couldn't find much of an edge either way. Certainly, the conference cross over game trends would suggest BG.
It's a pass for me based on BG's poor showing vs.WMU.
So you (bryanz) like Ball State then...?
Don't waste the time studying these MAC games --just bet what FCP does-that's what I do-$$

Well, after watching last night's game at historic Anderson Arena, I learned a few things... first, the MAC level of play; well it basically blows. I thought I was at a high school game. secondly, I learned to find better games to bet on than these lame ass excuses for teams.
Would anyone agree that this clearly qualified as a bad beat? BG was up 64-56 with 27 seconds remaining in the game... 27 seconds! they miss a F.T., and Ball St. cans a 3. they go 1 of 2 at the line, Ball gets a duece. they inbound the ball, and step on the line, foul Ball St foolishly, and the guy makes the 1st, misses the 2nd, and there is 5.7 seconds left and Ball is down 3... down 3 mind you, and off the miss they battle for it and instead of kicking it out for the potential game-tying 3, they play volleyball with it and tip it in for a duece at the buzzer - final score 65-64. All I could do was laugh... MAC=SUCK.
did you read my post? anyone on Ball St. got a small miracle last night. I was there, I witnessed it live. How many teams blow an 8 point lead in 27 seconds? and why would a team fight for a 2 pt. shot, when they are down 3 with 5.7 seconds left? they had time to kick it out for a game tying three, but apparently they aren't too well coached... I am not crying the blues over this loss, but I guarantee that if this scenario played out 100 times, BG holds that lead 99 of them. It was clearly a fluke; and happens even less to quality teams.
for the record ; I didn't bet this game...I wish I did... these are the type of plays that put money in your pocket... tough plays but with discipline , great palys ...
