Looking for treasure? How about a Ravens Super Bowl ring
All those stories about buried treasure in the Chesapeake Bay? Maybe they were true after all, or at least in the case of one Ravens Super Bowl ring.
After Baltimore won the Super Bowl in 2012, Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti gave out rings to not just the players but the team's entire staff as well. That list included receptionist Toni Lekas, whoaccording to the Baltimore Sun, had a mishap with her diamond coated ring in the summer of 2013.
At a boat party on the Chesapeake Bay that summer, Lekas handed her 10-karat white gold, 243 diamond-studded ring to her boyfriend and left. Later, the boyfriend lost the ring as he docked the boat in Essex, Md.

243 diamonds sitting in the bottom of the Chesapeake. The boyfriend dove in searching for the ring, and couldn't find it, and the following day hired a scuba diver to search for the Super Bowl memento. No luck.
Eventually, Lekas filed an insurance claim for the lost ring, and her insurance company provided her with a duplicate ring.
Things got interesting some time later when a diver did find the ring. Legally, the diver had to hand the ring over to the insurance company. Now, Lekas well travelled Super Bowl ring will be auctioned off via Goldin Auctions. The minimum bid is $7,500, and the ring is expected to fetch more than $25,000.
This is not the first Ravens Super Bowl ring to hit the auction houses, as Jamal Lewis sold his in February for more than $50,000. This is, however, the first Super Bowl ring to land in the bottom of the Chesapeake and eventually resurface.
