yes(if the democrats in congress,led by economic illiterate extraordinaire barney frank,
weren`t in large part responsible for the mortgage mess by forcing the banks through legislation and litigation to loan money to the clearly umqualified)....
in this case,the government,through liberal feel good ideology and programs are culpable.....so i can see why they should be charged with making it right....

Please. The 'open border policy' has been around forever. It has contributed in a VERY small way to this mess. Not Bush's fault regarding the immigration policy. It's paralyzed. Republicans, big business and small business need the illegals for their cheap labor and the democrats need their support for their votes.

And lastly, was not looking for pity, I have some problems that worry me, I feel like I live there (hospital) been almost 9 months now. But a higher power led the way to my move to Iowa City. They have one of the best hospitals in the world. I'll be there in-patient and out-patient for 4 more weeks. It's not a barrel of laughs, so appreciate your health. Going to see Steve is a big incentive for me at his wedding.

Back to the title of the thread - looks like (with a little time to go) we might have just gone through four consecutive UP days in the market - a fairly nice sustained run. I heard this morning we haven't seen that since December of 2007.
Of course, I would assume some buying would eventually start, but some of it has to be due to the positive news coming from some of the large market entities, and perhaps from a lessening trade deficit which is new.
Not saying anything, really, just glad to see some good days in a row. Must be a spring thaw?
