Mully, you DID NOT FAIL...you did something right you were there 12 years....happen to me in 96 and didn't find anything worth while for 10 months but in the end it was worth it....be patient and things will work out...stay POSITIVE and GL.

Sorry to hear it, Mully. No raise for 7 years? What was the reason for that? The economy was really exploding through part of that period.

Mully,sorry to hear about your job....it wasn't based on job performance..it was the current economic climate....you have a retail backround so hopefully you can find something in that field...good look,keep us posted.
No failure, Mully. It happens. Happened to me 2+ years ago. I posted about it, talked with friends about it, received tons of encouragement and moved on. I am in a far better position short and long term at this point. No doubt there's something out there for you:toast:

I was the Store General Manager for a Large Golf Retail Company. You name it, I did it. ( payroll, inventory, ordering of equipment, merchandising, custom club fitter, ect...I actually sent my resume into Callaway Golf for a sales rep position they had a few months back just outside of my area. They hired within. I've made many contacts in the Golf business over the years , and I'm reaching out to them.

one word. Greed. If I didn't like what I did so much, I would have been out the door years ago. Really had nobody looking over my shoulder and It was a pleasant work environment. Ive had the same staff for the past 5 years and maybe I got to comfortable.
Seems like you could get a position at a pro shop. Maybe a private club will pay better. Or how about a Starter on some nearby course? They probably don't pull down much jack, but it could bring in some cash for the interim while you search for what makes you happiest. And Starters play free. I think there are a few guys in golf industry on Madjacks: one in vegas, one in alabama and -- is it Hawkeye? -- with golf connections in Denver area. Good luck in your pursuits, brother!
Sorry to hear this bad news Mully. It's ridiculous how certain individuals can treat others that have made them financially prosper and been loyal to them over the years.
