I remember I went to Caesar’s in 2010. Back then I was still working and gambling ridiculous amounts of money. I actually had a great trip and won big. I cashed out. Back then I took a check. We still ended up with a few hours to spare. Eventually my gf and I got bored and went back to the table to pass some time. I took a 20 k marker. Which was a small fraction of what I won that wknd. We played it and ended up spending it all/losing. Thought nothing of it. Left and went to the airport. Do you know that within a few day they sent a certified letter. These mitherfkrs accused me of committing check fraud. That if I don’t send the 20 k immediately, By wire they will issue a warrant for my arrest !! Ahhahahhahaha. I was in shock. I had great standing. All the execs and hosts loved me. Etc. obv I was a loser over time…. So I call the host and asked. wtf is this ? Is this a mistake. ? He says no. You can’t play. Win. Take a check. And then go back to the table and draw a marker. And leave with the marker open. I told him I didn’t obv know. And 20 k was basically my average bet that wknd in blackjack on one hand. It’s not like I took out the whole line and left with the check ?!!! I wired the next morning and never gave another dollar to a Caesar’s property. InFkncredible. So when I see stories like this one below. It’s music to my ears.

Yea. According to them. I was supposed to not take a marker. I had to go back to the cage. Give them the Check. They would put it on front money deposit. And I would play off my winnings.

Basically shit service (especially for a big sucker like me).

Now. Since it’s all computerized. They wouldn’t even let you take a marker. The pit boss would tell you that. And I would havd said ok forget it. Let’s go to the bar !!

This is another example when the middle class pays for the rich. The whales don't pay for anything there so they jack up the prices for everybody else. And now, I get the feeling that they are cheating at the tables, which is something I never imagined before.

Yeah it's true and they're not the only ones. The wife and I went to Ft Lauderdale a few months ago and got to our hotel around 10am. Marriott maybe? I don't remember and not going to look it up. Anyway, check-in was 4pm but if we wanted to check-in early it was going to cost us 60 bucks. Seriously lady? We paid

Vegas was always special because they made you feel like a big shot even if you were small potatoes.

Cheap rooms, cheap food, free booze. All they asked, was for you to give them a shot at your bankroll.

Now? They pick your pocket as soon as you show up. Parking. Room prices. "Fees". Shitty odds on games. Expensive food/drinks.

exactly. letting people into their rooms early doesn't cost the hotel a penny. in fact, spreading out check-ins can be beneficial to the front desk staff. do they really not understand all they're doing is pissing people off?

*sigh* can't help it. vegas still holds a special place in my heart. and i've finally reached the status of a lot of guys here and i can get a free* room for up to 4 nights at mgm properties. i waited a long time to get to that point.

*ok, i think it's "free" plus fees. and it's available mid-week and slower weekends. but i don't care. to me, every day there is a weekend. and i really enjoyed my stay at the bellagio a few years ago.

it's dumb on so many levels. now you have a pissed off customer who will go elsewhere his next trip. so you're getting $60 now and forgoing maybe thousands later.

not to mention... this is vegas. you check in early, what are you probably going to do? take a nap? of course not. you're hitting the tables earlier than you otherwise would have.

it's so typical of the idiots who run companies now. squeeze every penny you can now, with zero thought of the long game.
