This was another fantastic time sponsored by Jack and Co.
I would like to start out by saying you are really short changing yourself by missing an opportunity to meet the people you post with, here at Madjacksports.
I had a 7 hour drive to the outing, and thankfully only 6 back home.
When I arrived on Friday afternoon for my golf match with Agent, Dunclock, and RollTide72, I was the first at the course. I went to the driving range, and was met in short order by Agent and HH.
We chatted while we warmed up, and it was rather nice to meet the two of them. Our opponents showed up shortly after that, and they were both great guys, as well. (I've never met a piece of shit from this site! Who could ask for higher praise?)
We hashed out our golf bets, and began our round. I don't mind telling you, I was the proverbial "turd in the punchbowl" out there. In a word.....I played like shit. If I brought my "A game", all three of these guys would have thrown it back! Instead, I hit almost every tee shot into the scrub brush or cattails just in front of the tee-box! (Playing your third stroke from the tee is not so good, for all you non-golfers out there......It's even less gooderer when Agent is your partner, and you're dragging him down with you!)
Agent had some individual side matches with the other boys, otherwise he might have just lied down and asked me to use my next swing to hit him in the temple to end it all. I'm sure the thought crossed his mind, but he probably figured I'd miss!
Of course.....when the divots settled, Team Agent/yyz got spanked by RollTide72/Dunclock. Nicely done, boys!
Kosar and Jack met up with us on the course, and rode along for quite a while. It was good to see them both again after about 4 years now. After the golf, we went to have dinner.
The seven of us had a very entertaining dinner, learning a little more about each other's homes, lives, etc. One thing I noted to the table was the fact that no one in the joint seemed to be having a good time other than us! They all seemed like they were at work or something! Shit people......It's Friday night, and you're out to eat! These fukkers were all business!
Jack, in typical Jack fashion, grabbed the check for the entire crew. Thank you once again, sir. That was certainly not necessary.
At this point, I need to check in at the hotel, and get some sleep. It had been a pretty long day, and Saturday was looking to be even bigger. I said my goodbyes, and was on my way.

SATURDAY
Well, you are pretty much going to hear the same story a few times I would guess, so I will keep it short!
I was the first one at the course, and this tall lug and some much shorter gal walked up to the pro shop a short while later. I heard him tell the guy working that he was "from Bowling Green, and with a big group playing today".
I walked up and said, "You must be Sixfive!"
Now, I've seen pictures of Sixfive, and should have known in an instant that this old guy wasn't him! But my dumb ass didn't think quick enough. (Also didn't seem to figure out that he was only about 6'2"!)
Turns out it was DogsThatBark. Another wonderful guy, and his wife (though too shy for the forums I think) was very nice, as well!
As people filtered in, I met more and more, and some, sadly......I did not meet.
While golfing, you obviously are pretty limited to the four people in your group. Bohawk was the only member of my group I had not met, so meeting him was a pleasure. Bohawk was a man of few words on the course, so I'll have to run into him again in the future.
After the golf, Jack had a party at his house. I would like to thank Jack for giving good directions to his house, also! It was very easy to find.
When you read the accounts of the "spread", you are going to think: "These guys are just saying that to be nice to Jack."
I don't think Hippo took pictures of the food Gayle laid out for everyone, but she should get a medal! I made a comment that it looked like the buffet at the Bellagio! Someone might have counted, but I would guess she had at least a dozen different homemade desserts. Cakes, cookies, cheese cakes, cupcakes, peach cobbler......WOW! And that was after the salads and relishes that were laid out before the meal. Oh.......I didn't mention the steaks and chicken Jack had on the grill?
If you went away hungry, it's because you were stubborn or stupid.
I pretty much stayed in the same spot at the party, so my interaction was mostly with Intense Operator and his wife. (Very nice people) Agent and HH. (She was the class reporter for the field trip!) Phenom, whom I sadly mistook for "the neighbor kid". Jack had some neighbors over as well, and I thought he was one of their kids! BBC sat in for a spell, giving us the finer points of Elgin, Illinois!
I didn't meet WineGuy, as he was sitting at the "neighbor table" it turned out. I just assumed he and his gal were with that other "well tanned" lady. "Hi.....I'm from Rockford, originally from Ohio."
I think I at least said hi to everyone else, if not.....You should have made a better effort! I'm fat and old.......but taller than she is!
Again, I can't thank Jack enough for opening up his house to a bunch of strangers, and half strangers. I'm extremely happy that I could make it, and I encourage all of you to drop you petty hatred and get to one of these things.
I'm glad to have met, or "re-met" all of you, and if I call you out in the future here........well, I'm sure you'll deserve it, so get over it.
