I'm going to go bust nine holes right now!

My shoulder is killing me, but I need to get my game going. I played for the first time a week ago, and almost started crying after the first drive.

Doctor can't find anything wrong with my shoulder, but it has hurt for three years now. My swing is restricted so much, it's a joke.

I shot a 50 last week, and wanted to quit.

Went to chiro first time in my life last year. Found out I had 20% strength and range of motion in my right shoulder. 3 adjustments and some exercises and it is amazingly better. My shoulder was actually out of socket and had healed there. Changed my game completely! I had struggled for 2 years with a swing change that I physically couldn't do with the shoulder. When I had to start drinking 3 beers to get some sleep I knew I had to do something. Not sure if you trust a chiro but it altered my life! Couldn't turn my head to the right much at all.

yyz...

i had shoulder problems (both) for years. i went to chiropractors, ortho docs, & neurologists...& even had injections into my shoulders with no help. i finally tried massages & that did the trick....so try getting a massage...it may also help you.

On the course!
Chiro wouldn't even look at it. I explained it to him, and he diagnosed it as bursitis.

Dr took x-ray, and finally did MRI, with nothing! (Slight inflamation, was diagnosis.)

Now, going on three years with a persistant ache, and sometimes "shooting pain".......something aint right!!!

I had a rotator problem several years back, but that was treated, and I was fine. I had physical therapy for this for 6 weeks, three times a week, and it did nothing. I finally said, "no more".

I actually plan on getting a massage real soon. I figure it can't hurt, and what if I am just "locked up" somewhere?

I can do most activities without a problem, but i can't thro anything at all. I can't throw a baseball ten feet. I made a paper airplane the other day, and gave that a toss, and almost fell to the ground!

Anyway......

Today's round of golf got rained out after 4 holes.

I basically topped a drive and a Mulligan off the first tee. (I just can't hit the woods with this shoulder.)

Hit nice, straight, gentle, irons from there on out. Took a double on the first, due to BOTH shitty drives finding water.

Second was a par 3, and I got your basic par.

Third was a long par five, and I hit an iron into the pines, and took my stroke. Made a bogey from there.

Hit the next tee shot, and the clubhouse sounded the siren. (Of course......we are two miles from the clubhouse!)

We hoofed it back in, and the sky opened up on us about 50 yards form the front door!

YYZ,

Our golf pro had the exact same problem as what you are describing. He could barely follow through on a swing, had pain, etc and was diagnosed with bursitis. He kept saying it was more than that and was getting the shooting pain. Finally on like the 3rd MRI a specialist saw a nerve stretched over a bone spur and they went in and cut it, took out some other tendon problems and he is like new. Keep after it, if you are having those problems something is wrong. I can tell now on my shoulder when it is popping back out, I get stingers on my follow through. Dam those things hurt! Fingers and all go numb. The guy I went to ( I am a HUGE pussy about someone cranking on my neck!) is the chiro for the IRL, Colts, Pacers. They call him Dr. Rob, I met him in a golf tourney and figured if this guy can work on them, he can work on me. Was told I needed surgery and he said no way if I follow his advice. My very bad days now (if I sleep wrong) are better than my best days before his help. I get locked up something fierce and go see him and 10 minutes later like new. I stick my arm out, point thumb at ground and try to resist him pushing down, if I am popped out I cannot resist any force. When he gets done, I can hold off all but his best try.

Not a long drive for you, I could set you up with him he has helped 5 or 6 other people I know, I swear by the guy!

!

agent not being a dick here but can you descibe that a little better. Is he pushing the top of your fist to the ground? Im just curious cause i recently did something to my shoulder and its killing me. Started working out again but i never felt anything benching. Cleaned out my attic for four days on my hands and kness and now all the sudden i cant lift anything. I always have shoulder pain but it comes and goes. This one isnt going away. I think you meant he was on top of your hand pushing down. I just tried this and it felt like the top off my shoulder was gonna explode. The pain now is traveling to the side of my armpit and close to my tricep. I don't think its arthritis or bursitis because i have some great meds for this. Since you are being a buddy now can you help doc?

How you going to pick teams? 2 man or 4 man, inquiring minds would like to know...

Somehow.......I don't think it's going to matter.
