A scratch player should be able to dust off a 5 and a 9, so anything you do will just be more money out of our pocket:scared

Are you speaking of a scratch player beating a 5 and 9 handicap that are scrambling or playing best ball?

Scratch player should have little chance in best ball--and no shot whatsoever in if 2 are scrambling.

Jack Is long drive hole tight and does ball have to be in fairway to count? I am trying to mustard up some modest offers on wagers.

not sure. i went to see the pro today to see if he had the pins to mark the contest balls and he disagreed with the hole i had selected for putts and long drive so i told him to pick the ones he thinks best and i'll see him saturday.

DTB, I disagree that a scratch player would not win in best ball if he shoots par. A 5 and 9 will have tough time matching his birdies and will probably have a bogey or three. No doubt would not win in a scramble.

Back when I used to play around par,I played against a couple of Nationwide players and they would give me three a side and it was a fair bet, very little money changed hands. One of the most fun rounds I ever played was with these two guys and the pro who was one of the top 10 players in the state played a two man best ball match where there were 26 birdies and 2 eagles in 18 holes. There team shot 63 best ball and lost 5 down:scared

I don't drink, sixfive.

I'm all for everyone having fun, but I hope we don't have a total bunch of stumblefuks embarrasing the entire crew out there, either.

Kosar i wouldn't take this off of him.

On the course!
Getting my final round of golf in tonight before the weekend. Can't wait for tomorrow! :00hour :00hour

I played 27 yesterday. :com:

Today, I feel like I was on the Bataan Death March. I can hardly walk, for Chrissake! I did manage to score 43, 46, 44.

I can't bitch. I had a triple, three doubles, and a birdie. The rest were pars and bogies.

Agent is a putter?

I'll offer this bet right now to him:

I'll bet he doesn't have less putts than I have on Friday's round.

The wager will be cart/greens fees for the round.

:SIB

I am an 18 handicap, Agent!

Hell yea, let's do it!.............NOT!

Let me see, I will hit between 12-16 greens in regulation, and be an avg of about 20 ft, and you will hit 2-5 GIR and be chipping it (even if you suck) to around 5-8 ft avg. Or, if we bet high enough you could miss greens on purpose just to chip close.

However, if you are really interested in seeing if you putt better than I do, we could meet a little early and go heads up on the practice green.:00hour
