Floating trophy sounds good. If someone quits betting or leaves MJ's, we'll hope he/she(can you imagine what Bahama Mama would say if I didn't put "she"? Yikes! ) returns it back to Tom. If not, we all chip in and start another one.

I got around to checking the office pool dot com site and I am fine with using it.

It will cost a dollar more for everyone so $11.00 is the cost per entry. I will cover another steve and bandits since they already sent theirs in.

THE TOURNAMENT:
"The Tournament" refers to the 2006 Men's Division I NCAA Basketball
Championship which begins on Thursday, March 16th with 64 teams, is
single elimination with 6 rounds and 63 games and ends with the
Championship game on Monday, April 4th.

POOL OPERATION:
This pool is being run on www.tournamentpools.com ("website") with a
pool ID of 16219. You need the pool ID and the pool password to
join the pool. Once you have joined, you no longer need the pool ID
and password. You'll be able to access the picks and standings
online simply by logging in with your personal username and
password. The pool manager is provided with administrative tools
that allow him/her to change the pool name, password and settings.
The manager can also boot you out of the pool or make you inactive,
in which case you won't be able to access the picks and standings.

WEBSITE MEMBERSHIP:
You must be a member of tournamentpools.com to join this pool and to
enter your own picks. If you do not have internet access, or do not
want to join tournamentpools.com then you can have another member
can create an alias for you and enter your picks. But joining
tournamentpools is free and it only takes a screen name, password,
and email address. To join, go to
http://www.tournamentpools.com/join.cfm.

JOINING THE 'MADJACK'S NCAA POOL' POOL:
To join this pool go to: http://www.tournamentpools.com/pools.cfm?
p=2&poolid=16219. Once you have logged in, enter the pool
ID# "16219", type in the pool password (provided by the pool
manager) and click submit.

POOL MANAGEMENT:
The website allows the pool manager "twofingers" to hide/unhide
picks, set the pick deadline, define the pool type and scoring
system, and also modify these rules.

POOL OBJECTIVE: The objective of the pool is to earn as many points
as possible. The person with the most points at the end of the
tournament wins the pool. SCORING POINTS: You earn points by
correctly predicting the straight up winners of each tournament
game. There are 6 rounds and a total of 63 games, 32 games in the
first round, 16 games in the second round, etc.
The pool manager has set the point values per win as follow:
Round - Pts/Win
1 - 1
2 - 2
3 - 3
4 - 4
5 - 5
6 - 10 SCORING BY SEED:
Your pool does not use scoring by seed. PICK DEADLINE:
The pool manager has set the deadline for Wednesday, Mar-15 02:00 PM
Pacific Time. You may enter and change your picks until this time.
The pool manager may change this deadline but no entries will be
accepted once games start. STANDINGS:
Standings for this pool are based on points, where people with the
most points are ranked highest. Standings will be updated on the
tournamentpools website automatically as the tournament progresses.
You may also opt to receive score update emails, sent by the
website. TIEBREAKER: In the event of a tie in total points, the
first tiebreaker for this pool will be based on your points in Round
6. The person with the most points in that round wins the first
tiebreaker. In the event of a tie after the first tiebreaker the
second tiebreaker will be in effect. The second tiebreaker will be
based on your points in Round 1. The person with the most points in
that round wins the second tiebreaker.

If there is still a tie after both tiebreakers, the prize (or
bragging rights) will be split equally amoung all those who tie.
Alternatively, if you determine that a tie is possible after the 5th
round of the tournament, you can have everyone who is in the running
for the tie, submit a total point prediction for the championship
game. Then if there's a tie in points, the person closest to the
total points scored (going over or under doesn't matter) wins.
PRIZES AND ENTRY:
11.00 entry fee

1st place 70%
2nd place 20%
3rd place 10%

yes, it causes problems and headaches. not to mention the people that scam other members, people not getting paid, people not paying, etc, etc, etc.

plus, new members think they can come in and start their own agenda driven contests and they don't understand why i let some members have them and i don't let them have one.

another plus is; i'm not so sure how legal they are either with members passing money around between each other in a form of gambling. i can't take that chance either.

i'll have plenty of contests and will run them as well, just let me know what ones you want and i'll try to put it together with better prizes.

i just can't have contests here unless i'm going to be responsible and i'm running them.

I understand but what a crock of shit. Just like real life, the few assholes ruin the fun for everyone else. Jack, Im starting to get a little confused around here would you mind sending me a rulebook? Hard to keep up with all this BS.

Wasnt TRYING to be a dick Jackson, it just came off that way. I totally understand WHY you have to do all this BS, I just dont like it. I can arrange my fantasy circle jerks outside of Madjacksports to make it easy on all of us, I was just saying is typical that a few fukcheads screw everythig up.
