Thought that we would start this sooner and maybe we can get the enties up to 100 this year.

For those who are new, we have never had a problem with this tournament. Every cent has been paid out and I have even lost a bit of coin running it ( Thanks Vyrus , you stiff). Box and Schouest and other have thrown some hats and tshirts in as prizes as well and I buy a hat for the last place finisher as well. If your worried about it, I am sure that any of the previous participants will vouch for my honesty.

1ST PLACE - 70%
2ND PLACE - 20%
3RD PLACE - 10%
LAST PLACE - HAT

WE WILL USE THE Officepool.com. .

ONCE I RECEIVE YOUR ENTRY FEE AND officepool.com OPENS UP THE BRACKET PAGE FOR THIS YEAR (Opens after Selection Sunday), I WILL SEND YOU THE ID # FOR OUR GROUP. NO ENTRY FEE, NO ID #.

100% legit contest, and I'll vouch that I got all the money and a t shirt from Box and One two years ago.

I look forward to playing along again.

...you can count me in again this year...and since Box was so kind as to send me the hat last year, you can count on me to donate one this year. :)

...for any new guys with any trepidation, don't worry...this is legit and hopefully, an annual MJ's event. :mj14:

Thanks, Tom. (Sorry for your loss, BDB. LOL) :scared j/k, buddy. ;)

I will worm an extra $500 to the winner this year, fellas. I know you think I'm kidding, but I am being Cyrus.

Only thing I don't like is the way yahoo weights it.

You can go close to perfect in the first and second rounds and lose to someone who shit the bed because they got the championship right.

Tom, (and other old timers of Jack's place that plan to participate),

...was thinking of an idea to contribute a "trophy" to the winner in the form of Box & One's Army hat that I got last year.... It is still brand new with the tags and hangs on my bedpost...and I think of our troups overseas (especially the MJ members like neverteaseit) everytime I look at it. I was thinking of trying to figure out a way to have emblems sewn on the hat to represent the past winners of the contest.... If Blackman is okay with it, I would have an eagles emblem sewn on the hat for him representing his avatar and a ying-yang emblem for myself.... The winner each year gets to hold the hat until the next year when he has to have his own emblem sewn on the hat and send it to the subsequent winner.... What do you guys think????

The only problem I can forsee is if some newbie wins and doesn't follow through.... As long as some of us old timers win, I am relatively sure that most of us are honorable enough to do the right thing and keep this thing going.... If a newbie (or God forbid a "worm") wins, I'm not so sure....

It sure would be a nice trophy to get to hold for a year.... What do you guys think? Worth the trouble or not???

edit: p.s. Maybe Jack could send me a small Madjack's emblem to sew onto the hat so that the winner each year remember's from whence it came and that it is the property of the group and not just the last guy that happened to win the contest....?!?!?!!?

...or maybe instead of sewn on emblems, small pin-on emblems like the ones on the traditional Bavarian Alpine German hats....
