Son had his 5th grade and concert tonight at school. He asked me last week if I do a duet with him on Trumpet........It's been 33 years since I've played but said sure buddy lets do it!
He brought home a spare Trumpet for us to practice this weekend, but time was short so we waited till an hour before the concert to go over the short song......The sucker was froze up and wouldnt play. We raced to the school to get the teacher to see if she could get it working....10 mins before the concert was to start she said I think I got it....."You think"? :facepalm:
So here we are no practice in 33 years, haven't played a note and off we go.......I could get any air through the horn so off goes my boy and did the family proud start to finish, dad was happy for him. I'm sure this will be another story to tell around the camp fire for years to come for both of us :toast:
