Woke up early to not watch the wedding. I guess I got up to "ponder" a new era in Vikings football with Bill Musgrave tutoring a kid with a Masters Degree obtained in 2.5 years how to play QB in the NFL.

The Christian Ponder era has begun in Minnesota.

You're not liking the pick, Sports? I realize he wasn't as highly rated as some other guys but I think the kid is an interesting option. Personally I would have considered a #1 and #2 for Gabbert like the Jags did - that would have made me a happy guy, growing up in Missouri and now living here - would have been a great combo. I think the Jags got a steal in Gabbert.

At least we have a kid with a great mind and personality that will be tutored by a great QB coach. It's a nice set of circumstances when a new QB and coaching staff can start out and grow together. Or it could be a disaster. I think the picks today will be very important to next season, though.

Don't like it at all. We're getting old on both sides of the ball and need to get younger not roll the dice on a QB with elbow issues. None of these QB's are going to put W's up with the lines we have. Rather see them pick up a Vet for a couple years and draft O-Line & D for now.

I agree with the OL immediate need, but I don't personally see the need for DL help yet. They have several good young linemen that do very well when in the lineup. I'd like to see a good OL in round two and a cornerback in round three, maybe DE after that. Two OLmen would be fine with me. Our line is in serious need of help. But unless you were OK with Joe Webb as the QB of the future, or were prepared to overpay for McNabb (still might happen) or Kolb, I don't mind the attempt.

We just have a 2nd no 3rd this year....Not ok with Webb at QB, he needs to be a WR....And no to trade for McNabb he's done and not sold on Kolb either......Pick up a journey man for a year or two....Wont matter anyways if the qb doesnt have protection.....Maybe we'll draft a kicker with the 2nd pick
