That's funny, huh? Hopefully wherever we play they have left handed clubs for rent. As I mentioned before in this thread, all i'll need is a 3 wood, a wedge and a putter. You wouldn't believe how I work my way around the course with just those 3 clubs. I'm as comfortable on the golf course as you are when you're lounging on the beach in your jeans. :thefinger

Is there a reason for only carrying the 3 clubs.?

That's hard for me to fathom. I think I used to do that. But when I discovered the unique advantages of some of the other clubs I changed that idea.

Sure does cut down on decision making though. They should have a tournament with Tiger Woods where the whole field can
only use the 3 clubs. That would be a challenge.

You need to invest in a Big Bertha Calloway #1 driver. The face of the club is like a plate. You can't miss at least hitting the ball.

I will tell you a quick golf story. I was on a golf course at the first tee. For some reason there was a tournament set to start behind us. There was a crowd of tournament players waiting to tee off after we went. I would estimate about 20 players standing around. If there is one thing I do not care much for when I am golfing is crowds. I had not been golfing for about 2 years.

So I got my 3 wood out. At that time I only had the three clubs which I carried in one hand. How convenient. Keeps you from having to go to the cart too much.

I tee it up and address the ball. I took a few practice swings. Maybe I should not have muscled up on the ball quite as much, but I was thinking that I should hit the ball as hard as I could.

End up topping the ball and it rolls about 15 feet to the left under a tree....

Thinking quickly as I am prone to do ...

I screamed ....FORE !!!!

Of course there is a reason. Isn't it obvious? The 3 wood to tee off, the wedge for the rest of the shots to the green and the putter to putt.

I can't speak for everybody, but for me it depends on the club i'm using. I golf left-handed and when I tee off I have my left hand on top (for more torque). With my wedge and my putter I have my right hand on top because less torque is required and i'm going more for accuracy.

and cut-off jeans on the beach in Curacao wasn't gonna cut it (with all the topless sunbathers around) so I bought me some real swim trunks. :thefinger

we were walking down to the beach the first day and Gayle poked me and said "LOOK!, she doesn't have her top on!"

i just glanced over like it was no big deal and told her they do that chit around here, no biggie ;)

LMAO! I could see that.

Penguinfan,

Thanks man. They definitely wouldn't have to be 'nice ones'. I wouldn't know the difference. The woods could actually be wood and it wouldn't matter much. Appreciate it and hope you end up making it.

Is golf Friday, Saturday or Sunday? Still trying to work this trip in. Also, any one know what kind of entertainment coming to AC that weekend? My preference for golf is Sunday cause if I can make it, I'll be flying in on Saturday.

Unfortunately for my cache of babes from Philly, if I go I'll have to bring the troph and little Eddie. This way if I get beat up, you guys will feel guilty about beatin the crap outta my skinny liberal ass if front of little Eddie.

Plus, I may bring some muscle from Atlanta. His name is Vito DeLamucca. After golf on Sunday (if its on Sunday) the troph, little Eddie, Vito his wife Magdelena DeLamucca nee Scarpino and their 11 year old son, Antonio "the Hammer" DeLamucca will be headin up to New York and then Boston.

Our summer holiday on the east coast corridor. Anyone with suggestions on things to do in NYC and Boston. The boys will go to Yankee Stadium and Fenway of course and the chicks will go shoppin but, any other suggestions. Remember, we will have teens and pre-teens in tow.

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Eddie
