The last big shot terrorist they caught they turned him over to a country that uses torture in their interrogation. It might have been egypt, but I hope they do the same with this guy.

There has been steady arrest of al Queda terrorists. US is doing a good job of winning this war. Certain segments of the left just want us to think otherwise.

There's a picture of this guy on cnn.com right now, taken after his arrest on Saturday. He might as well have "I'm ****ed" tattooed on his forehead.

Dr Freeze quotes

BB....well that sucks to be that guy i guess....better safe than sorry....and that would be a great idea....sue the FBI....yeah lets hinder them further.....dude we have blown up buildings over here....and you want to get your panties in a wad over a wrong arrest....good grief

It's not the longful arrest that's the issue, it's the way he was treated. Well should I say, the way he wasn't treated.

After ten days, no interview or finger prints, well it makes you laugh. The F.B.I. ( F--king Big Idiots). The bloke would still be rotting in a South African cell if some citizen had not come forward to inform them they had the wrong man.

They should be made to pay. After all the man they originally arrested was aged over 60 and weighed less than 170lb and the person they wanted was mid 40's and weighed 210lb. Not much difference there is there.

Put the incident on the other foot. If it had been you Dr. Freeze that had been arrested in a foreign country, you knew you were totally innocent, yet no one let you explain, and you were kept locked up for 10 days. Wouldn't you feel a little pissed off and want some form of compensation. The man's holiday was ruin and the wankers (FBI) didn't even pay him for his holiday that they ruin. What Pricks.

If you don't understand Dr. Freeze, then your as bad as the FBI are. When you clearly make a mistake that affects someone's life then you should be held responsible and be made to pay the consequences. Christ you need to get a life if you cant understand that.

You wringe on here over such trival matters, so if this happened to you, you would for sure be shouting from the roof tops over the treatment you received.

Doc we have agreed latley on a few things. And I do like the debate. But Turkey poll was 79% aginst USA. That has to be more then just islamists. Some credit is due to Pakistan for the help thay have provided us. They at least seem not afraid of these terroist that are hiding in there country and causeing much trouble for that government.

these are trying times. You can't sue the FBI its the goverment. Over here in US it don't work that way. Maybe you guys can sue Scotland Yard over mistakes but I doubt it.
.................................................................

Hope the FBI haven't f--ked up this time. They arrested a man from the UK on holiday in South Africa, detained him for ten days and then realised they had arrested the wrong person after a tip off that the person wanted was in VEGAS.....BB

Dr Freeze it appears that you don't know what I am talking about. The man from the UK was arrested for major fraud. It had nothing to do with terrorism. If indeed it had been for terrorism I would have said good luck to the FBI and the man deserved what he would receive because it would have been clear that some where along the line he had dealings with terrorist's. But for fraud, come on not even you could expect someone to be treated like shit.

It is clear that you love your country, and rightly so. I too love my country so please don't come on here again and start slagging the country that backs America. Unlike America and Mr. Bush our Prime Minister Mr. Blair is under increasing pressure not only from most of the British Public (who in my opinion don't understand the consequences if no strikes are forth coming), but his own political party not to go to war without the blessing of the UN. If he does infact decide to go to war along side America, he is almost certain to have written his final chapter as Prime Minister. That is a great sacrifice to undertake, and one that not many politicans would undertake.

I also clearly think that you need to read the full story about World War II, for you would realise if it wasn't for our jet engines made by rolls royce, your proud nation may have been joining us and you would be eating a lot of raw fish now with your leaders the Japenesse. To me the War means a great deal as I lost family.

The 7th fold is a tribute to our Armed Forces, for it is through the Armed Forces that we protect our country and our flag against all her enemies, whether they be found within or without the boundaries of our republic.

I think it's great to be patriotic, but not at the detriment of another country so allied w/ U.S. Hopefully any S. African incidents will be few and far between. I remember talking to my Uncle years ago, who survived the Bataan Death March about his experiences and then visiting Kanchanaburi, Thailand, (Bridge over the River Kwai), where US & so many ANZUS soldiers are buried. Not to mention a Retired Army friend who joined the US Military in Belfast during WWII. We met while I was stationed in Japan and he was retired and working for AAFES. He told me how close Hitler came to winning it all and what it felt like back in thoses brown shoe days- I think an earlier thread concerns Hitler's speech?- Paddy shaved twice a day, in the field, just to salute the flag @ Reville and Retreat. Hopefully we can work together again against our common threat and leave the bashing for football, (or soccer) etc., and in the Pub.
Meanwhile back @ the Ranch- that Al Qaeda figure looks like he could use a bowl of soup and a hat! I say let the Mossad ask the questions.

It was the RR V-12 Merlin engine that made the P51bc able to fly faster than the FWs and Me109 Messerschmidts, not Jet Engines::

If the media or feds had hooked onto this guy earlier, we might not even know Bin Laden's name. From what I've read, this guy is the brains behind the whole outfit and this capture probably does more for putting a dent in Al-Qaeda than getting Osama would have.

They say this guy won't be seen for months as they try to get info about the past, and the future, out of him.

It is not going to be a fun next couple of months for this dude. But, if you plan attacks that killed as people many as this guy did, you got to expect when you get captured it ain't gonna be a party.

Good pick-up. Let's hope that they'll get some info out of him that will prevent any future attacks they may have been in the planning stages.

Believe that was a slip of the type writer on jet engins. Rolls did make one hell of a piston engine. And the Britts spit fire was hell of a great plane. It did help win the air battle over England. We did use some of those rolls engines in our planes to. Yes many of us lost family & friends in WWII. Then we lost more in Korea. And of course Nam. But nothing tops what we did to our selfs in the cival war. Over 600 thousands is the best estimate. More then all other wars togeather. Dam we love to fight. Been doing a lot of it since 1900. Did not learn a thing from the cival war. In fact many seem to think were not done fighting that war yet.

British Bulldog, with all due respect do you honestly beleive that jet engine is the reason Americans are not speaking German right now. I am not dissing the Jet engine and I have the utmost respect for the Brits, but Come on that was an idiotic statement.

If I remember correctly a good majority of people in this country have relatives that died just on Normandy Beach including myself. It was the Americans who took the beach with pure grit and determination and it was the Brits who stopped to brew tea and probably cost alot of Americans their lives.

This shit has to stop right now!!!

Do not insult the Bulldog. He did not even start talking about the war, but more so a major cock up by the FBI.

It was that prick Scott Atlanta that brought up the war issue, by saying us British would be reading the Mein Kampf....he is too often guilty of posting stupid posts on this site. He is quite easily the biggest prick on the site. Why dont we kick this idiot off the forums.......this site is for gambling purposes, but now you have started.

So you all jump on this pricks bandwagon......Stwey, Chan man the list goes on. Are you really naive enough to think that the Brits sat back during World War 2 and watched you Americans do the job??? Just sums up how immature you are.

Your US army would be nothing without the help of your allies. Do not believe for one second you have the best army in the world. That accolade belongs to nobody, while the UK has easily the best elite force in the British SAS.

And please do not insult our Prime Minister. You are ****ing nuts in insulting a person who is going against the wishes of a large proportion of his peoples wishes to back your president and go to war with Iraq. Do yourselves a favour, and keep your posts gambling based, as you obviously have no clue how to conduct a proper discussion on politics.

SCOTT YOU ARE AS FASCIST AS ADOLF HITLER HIMSELF. GO FIND A CHAT ROOM TO KEEP YOURSELF OCCUPIED!

It was great that the Brits had the Rolls Jet engine. It saves us the time of engineering our own jet engige for the B51 mustang. If it weren't for our B 51 mustangs though the jet engine would have pretty much been worthless. Both countries worked together nicely.

To state that we would be speaking Japanes if it weren't for the Jet engine is a false statement. I don't really care about the FBI arument but you shouldn't starting making erroneus statements like that without expecting an argument.

Alot of Americans lost live on Normany Beach while the Brits were takinig a tea break. The Brits were asigned the open beach of Juno with an objective to strike quickly and take the city of Kahn before the Germans could brind up reinforcments. Instead they landed on Juno and started brewing tea, The Germans brought in reinfocments and a 3 day battle tuned into 3 months. Everyone has relatives that died in that war and that blunder was one of the greates in hisory and cause many deaths of American soldiers including my great uncle. I am not sure what your history book says,

It should say "Johnny come lately , Jonny show you how!"

Getting back to the thread topic, Pakistan was supposed to keep this under wraps for a couple of days while the US utilized some of the information found during the raid. As mentioned, Pakistan could not keep their mouths shut and the US did not get the head start on capturing the terrorists here in the US.
