That was one of the more illiterate posts that i've seen this side of of The Sponge. (Just an aside here) BRING BACK THE SPONGE!

Speaking to your point (sic)? Yes, i'm aware of how portals generate revenue.

I just don't think having somebody monitoring every thread and every post and changing the 'icon' as such is the answer.

I *do* think that you made an admirable 'suggestion.'

Again "Bernie" I never asked for someone to do this 24/7, that was "you" "Kosar" being a smartass....I was just giving it back by agreeing rather than being a dick with my response... Sorry this confused you so much.....

I don't know who or what it could hurt to make the forum a little easier for the folks who have to raise children..keep a wife or girlfriend happy...or make sure the grandparents are not peeking around the corner.

We give congrats to those who bring children into the world..we should at least understand there are times when daddy or mommy has to combine a "Me" time along w/ the "Daddy can I sit on your lap"....or .."Daddy I want to look to."

In this day in age where we can hit a keystroke and watch any and all human behavior a little help to those who have "curtain climbers" and "rugrats" can't be that difficult.

And certainly shouldn't be considered trite.

just saying.....

You mean like this?:

Shayne Elizabeth . .umm . . Bluechip was born into this world last night. 7 lbs and 13 oz of beauty with a sweet disposition just like her Mom. Baby and Mom are doing well, but Dad is absolutely exhausted.

It's been a struggle for me and my wife to get this far and she was on bedrest for the past 5 months so i had to stay home more and more. But due to my interactions with all of you great people on this site, I never thought that I was missing out by not going out on the weekends. I appreciate all of your help in this process and thanks once again to Jaek for providing it all.

God Bless!

Congrats, man!

Who, in their right mind, would waste their life hanging out at an internet sports forum all day long?

As if people don't have better things to do with their lives.

Makes one wonder.

Some fun MJ facts:

Buddy: Member Nov.2000....6,332 posts

Sports: Member Apr. 2001... 1,921 posts

Again...Your point???? Guess I'm missing something here.

Ease up, everybody. We can keep this friendly. This site is run better than 100% of all public forums on the internet (rounded up to account for it being impossible to be run better than itself). I just thought I was seeing nudity more frequently in the avatars lately. Not a biggie. I am big boy and can handle keeping the boys away if need be. Just throwing it our there for discussion.

AR -- I do not think your avatar is in bad taste at all. My son pointed to it a few nights ago and said, "Who's that pretty girl?" Kids got good taste for a 3 year old!!!

kosar -- did you enjoy your internet marketing 101 class? :mj07:

Sure this will go over well with advertiers and owners.............

Just courious,

did you notice you have over 4839 post since 2000...........:142smilie

Hadn't looked there in a while, but I do distinctly remember the day when I had enough posts to get the Georgia "G" uploaded as an avatar! Proud moment in my MJs history. And it will NEVER be changed outside of an avatar bet!

But I promise the bet won't be for some spread eagle snatch!!! :SIB

Dawgball I was thinking of starting a thread about the very same thing earlier this football season. The wife usually goes shopping on Saturday morning and me and my two sons hang out. I am usually on the computer while the boys watch tv/play, but they are always checking out what I am looking at or my youngest wants to sit on my lap. He is only 2, so its not so bad, but my oldest is 4, and I have to make sure I quickly scroll down the page if I'm reading a post with an adult themed avatar.
I love T & A just as much as anybody, but I would prefer not to see it on an avatar. I always liked Madjacks because it wasn't like the other sites where it seems like anything goes.

i'm thinking about removing the avatars with nudity. where do i draw the line.

for example, is this one okay?

jessica.jpg

it's going to be some chore to go thru them all but i will if enough people want them taken down.

I agree it would be tough.

For example that one could be seen a simple kiss between love birds. Or as some hot ass, yet offensive to some lesbo action.

If that was a man & a woman kissing there would no issues. Now while I doubt there are many lesbo's that are cruising the site, it would be offensive to them to remove soley based on that.

I think its the parents responsibility personally to monitor what their young kids may or may not see, not yours.

I have two little ones as well. I know that when they are around I turn off the avs. Plain and simple.

If people want to individually change them then that is fine, but I don't think it is Jack's responsibility to monitor and make decision calls on avatars. Side boob, no boob, lesbians kissing Hell Yeah! etc.

I think we are all grown ups. We can make the judgment call on our own comfort level to turn off the avatar option or leave them on.

Let's take some responsibility here and leave Jack to deal with BTJ!!!

Good luck!
