Nick- Let me fully understand your argument. 1.) You do not believe in equality between the sexes. 2.) You believe in separate rules and standards for the separate sexes. Am I correct in drawing those conclusions from your post?

You?re 1950?s style of Wife and Husband seems antiquated. Sir, I consider myself a ?good man?. I also believe my wife is my equal. We make decisions, we make mistakes, and we prosper together in a life we live as one. Your barkings of ?learn to cook? and your simpleton opinion of what ?good men want? is reprehensible and inaccurate. I understand some men need to ego boost of being the sole bread winner, but when you are in your relationship you will learn that happiness comes from walking hand in hand, not leash in hand.

Dr.- Wonderful post my friend. I agree on most points. I agree that everyone should display Honor, Loyalty, Courage, Generosity, and Forgiveness. Each is an important and admirable trait.

I believe you are both ?good men?. I enjoy debating with you.

Well, I am being totally misunderstood in this thread.

Missy

Missy- I am sure you will find a great guy. I believe there is a balance. This is not the WWII generation. We are fighting wars and using the inequality of women as a rally cry while we debate chivalry in American society.

Madam, you are respected here. Thanks for providing the other side of the argument.

JMom, don't think every response here is directed at your comments, just in response to the thread.

Also, remember the original question - if the girl asks a guy to a baseball game. IMO, right thing to do is to ask her if she wants $ for the ticket. She probably should say no and then the guy should pay for the food and beers at the game. Seems simple to me.

LOL, oh yea. The point......Waldo is right. One should offer to pay, but the same should be done if a male buddy asked you to the game.

This is my entire point. Kindness and thoughtfulness is not limited to a male/female relationship. If a same sex friend offers tickets you should offer to pay and then try to pick up the beers or food to compensate him for his kind gesture.

Chivalry is dead. Kindness and Thoughtfulness are asleep and need to be waked.
