Memorable Day at Philly?

I thought so when I first saw this card :0034 but, after going through the races that just might not be the case. Races are pretty dang competitive today.

Are the PP's (Parx PLAYERS) on horsey vacation? I'll share a couple of thoughts for today anyways...

6th race: One of my favorite Philly runners is in this race. TOO BAD I can't play it though on account of the long, long layoff (~250 days), it's age, and the Uninspiring workouts. Polka At Night (no. 3) sure can rock n roll alright and I'll be rooting for this one as a fan. In this race, I'll be going out on a limb and put 2 stinkin dollar bets on no. 1 despite what it looks like on paper. IF Polka beats it, that's fine by me. Serious players should check out how Polka looks/does in this race.

Just in case a PHilly PHan does stop in .... this may be of interest...

7th race: This one looks very competitive and that USUALLY means $$$ asfaras exotics go. I'm still looking for something to go with two of the longest shots in this race... nos. 1 and 4. If I find a couple, zotics bets will be $2 tickets, max. Conservative bettors could go with win or W/PL on both and come out ahead too. A bit more $ on the no. 4 may be a good idea too?

H&H dudes, take a look at no. 5 (9/2 and I think this one may go off at higher odds). I've been catching the "magic" this Philly week so far, all in the $70s range too, strange co-incidence so 2<->6 is the side play for this race also.

Sorry DT, I just got online to add some moola to my no. 4 in the 7th

I already watched the replay of the 3rd, I liked no. 5 in that race. I played Exchange Can Rate in it's last race at 7 to 1 and liked the way that one ran. Horse looked good on the track as well last time. Played it with the with three other horses, 3,6, and 7. Zacta paid $25.

I like no. 5 in the upcoming 8th race, also got it with a few longshots.

Nobody's gonna believe me anymo.. the way I wrote that up; you know, how I came back to add that I had 'valentino with the no. 6. LOL

Sure enough, the zack turns out to be 6-5. Picking an 11-1 shot and getting only $27 on the exacta ain't fun, but you just couldn't leave that one out. .

I didnt[ go over the last race at all. Prob. a NoPlay.

EVerything I wrote this afternoon was a rush job and may have been a little confusing. I gotta stop doing that.... barely got my late bets in.

Hmmm, come to think about it, maybe that was a good thing (9th wace) :lol:

Bottom line looks like I broke about even for the day; threw out that 3/5 (no. 4) in the last race and just put 2 stinkin bucks on the other 3 to win... you know, just to have a better interest in the last race of the day. If it wasn't for that no. 4 in the 7th I woulda won enough for a couple of hot dogs and beers.

Philly is in a drought asfaras a nice, big, fat, juicy exacta goes. I could be wrong, but I think the last one I caught ($128 jobbie) may have been the last one? And I'm thinking a better price than that for the one we're looking for.
